Yuuko was waiting in the foyer of the castle. She would help Watanuki feel better if it was the last thing she did. She had to take care of him. She had to keep him safe.

She stood, waiting and pacing through the hall. She could do this, she was strong, no, she couldn't, she had to. She needed to keep herself together. Watanuki needed her to. He needed her to be strong for him right now. She had some ideas in mind. Even if it frustrated and flustered him, he still would have his mind off the things that were happening.

I wish I could talk to her. I'm certain she could explain everything. I can't believe that a mother would abandon her child. Every book I have read about mothers tells me that they love their children. My mother loves me... I know she does.

At least now I don't have to worry about losing my brothers. I'm very happy for that.
