From Feral Beast to Playful Cub [Red, 'Bolt]
Who: Red XIII and Silverbolt
What: Red and Silverbolt meet to mete out 'Bolt's "punishment" while un-beknownist to 'Bolt, Red is currently turning into a cub. XD
When: Morning after this journal entry/conversation.
Where: Outside, courtyard, whatever.
Rating: PG sound right?
Nanaki leapt down the few stairs leading into the courtyard from one of the castle's side exits in one bound and padded softly a little ways away. He stopped to sniff some flowers on his way to the bench a little ways in front of him and kept an open eye out for another person.
Had anyone from AVALANCHE been around to see the red, lion-like cat they would have noticed something off about their feline friend. It wasn't yet too obvious, but in fact Red XIII was just about two inches shorts than normal. He looked younger, too, and his fur softer than its usual already extremely soft state.
Finished with the flower, Red moved over to the bench and peered up at it from a low crouching position. He wiggled his rear-end as he stared at the welcoming seat, and then quite suddenly leapt up onto the warm wood. There he stretched out to his fullest extent (front paws just barely hanging off one end and tail flickering about off the other) and rested his head on his paws. He closed his eye contentedly, but yet still kept a look-out for his appointment.

But he came. He landed in the courtyard in his beast mode, glancing around the area before he sat down with a sigh and hung his head. Even though he hadn't meant to do it, he would take whatever the man wanted to do to him in penance for his friend. It was the least he could do...

He remembered Reeve mentioning a wolf with wings--but what Reeve had failed to mention was the sheer size of said beast. It was easily the size of a horse, probably slightly larger even. Whereas Red simply was a large cat, easily the size of a fully grown male lion, this beast was practically a wolf of lore: a dire creature--with wings like hawk, like a gryphon. And, oddly, it looked too shiny, almost as though it were made of metal instead of fur and hide. Some parts at least, Red noted.
So this was the beast that had hurt his friend. There was no other explanation--it simply was obvious this was who he was supposed to meet out here today.
Nanaki repressed the urge to growl at the large beast, and instead allowed his tail to flick in annoyance, the flame-tip brightening in his repressed anger. Swallowing his ill-will, Red kept his low-throated growl to himself and peered at the beast curiously. He was here to test this being of its merit, not start a battle needlessly.
Raising his head off his paws, Red turned his head in the direction of the dire wolf and cleared his throat similar to a human's gesture. He had this wild idea to suddenly pounce the creature to gain its attention, but thankfully he didn't respond to it. It could have been dangerous to boot, not to mention un-elegant and extremely rude, and just plain... kittenish.
He wondered if the creature would notice him or continue to wallow in what at least appeared to be self-guilt. It was cynical of him, but Red wanted to know the answer to that question. Would he notice or would he think Red wouldn't show and then simply leave without waiting?
So he stay there, merely laying on the bench. Watchful of the beast and it's actions, but otherwise keeping to himself after the initial attention-grabber.

"You... Are you the one I am to meet here?" Of course they wouldn't be one of the Peeoplee race. That was just his luck.
"Your friend. You said I hurt him? How is he now? Is he well?" He still stood on guard, prepared for the creature to attack at any moment. He knew it was coming... One did not get away with harming another's friend, no matter the circumstances.

He grinned a wolfish grin--altogether eerie in it's uncertainty of being between malicious and inviting. He raised himself slowly from the bench and then leapt down. He padded closer to the large beast as if he fought dire creatures everyday of his entire life. Perhaps he had.
"He is well," Nanaki answered the creature's query. "Hurt, in almost constant pain, but well enough to laugh it off." Red peered curiously at the bird-wolf. He noted how similar the beast was to a gryphon, only with wolfish features rather than lion or cat. Interesting.
Still he had the odd desire to pounce the large creature. It was beginning to disturb Nanaki. He had been acting a bit different lately. Childish? Kittenish? He shook it off.
"I am the one you promised to meet. My friend, Reeve, seems not to care if his attacker is punished or not. He simply thought you a beast at first. Indeed, so did I. I had planned on taking care of the beast... but come to find out, you're sentient. What, then, made you do such a thing?"

"I didn't... I had no control! I would never normally do this! The only reason someone has gone feral in their beast mode was when Cheetor went Transmetal two..." He brought up his front claw, clenching and unclenching the talons.
"And yet... And yet I am the same. So once I realized it wasn't that, the only conclusion I came to is that it was the castle. It took my control away. All I could think of was keeping people out of 'my territory'. I couldn't help it."
He stopped pacing and looked up at Red guiltily "I'm sorry. I truly am. However you want to punish me for your friend's injuries, I will not stop you."

Finally, he sat back on his haunches and spoke as lightly as he could. "There will be no punishment." He paused to let the other register his words, but spoke again before the other could say anything in reply. "If indeed it was simply the castle then that was punishment enough. You sound, look, and even smell regretful. There's no getting around the truth of that last one. I will not punish someone who is truly so sorrowful for there actions."
The large feline tilted his head to the side and looked at the dire wolf with a bit of playfulness in his eyes. "On another note, however, there is something you could do if you are truly regretful."
