I'd be disappointed in myself if I went for 'more like home.' At least for now.

Good! There's a place that has really good Wutaian cooking in the city, but they call it something else. You'll see.

[And as promised, at exactly 6, Mwu is here knocking on her door - he's still in his standard OMNI uniform, though maybe his hair looks a bit more carefully tousled than usual.]

[... Good job, Mwu. Good job.

Aerith answers the door right on time, too! She's not wearing any makeup, but she's wearing a cute yellow sundress with a pink ribbon in her hair and a smaller one tied around her neck. And brown boots, because some habits die hard.]

Hi there.

[He grins at her.] Didn't have too much finding the place after all.

You look nice.

Good.

[She smiles at the compliment.] Thank you. You look nice, too, and you're not even covered in camping dirt this time.

[He laughs] I'd actually considered it. Y'know, make myself look more rugged.

[Steps back, to give her room to exit her apartment.] So, what's "Wutaian" food, anyway? Never heard of it before.

[That gets a laugh.] Rugged and smelly, maybe. No one would want to get within ten feet of you.

[She does so, and starts down the hall toward the elevators, making sure not to jump too far ahead.] On my world, the food and culture was associated with an island country called Wutai. I believe the restaurant calls it Chinese food, though. Does that sound familiar to you?

[Even if his face isn't in the familiar grin, there's that sparkle in his eyes.] Not unless they were, say, offering me home-cooked breakfast.

[He follows her, and then nods.] Sure does. China's a country where I come from. [Presses the elevator button] It isn't an island, though.

Maybe you're just cute enough. [She can sparkle back.]

Ah! You must be from Earth, then. Or someplace like it. [She waits for the elevator to let them in.]

[He shakes his head, giving a mock sigh.] "Cute" again? I thought we were going with "awe-inspiring."

Earth it is! Canada, to be exact. ...have you heard of it? [Ding! Open elevator is open, and it's an empty car. Ladies first, after all.]

[She giggles at that.] The jury is still out on that one. ♥

[She goes in!] Um... I think it was mentioned in the book I read, but I don't know anything about it. What's it like?

Jury, judge, and executioner all in one. Truly, you are a fearsome woman. [His deadpan tone is a bit incongruous with the roguish smile on his face.]

[Follows her in, button is pressed, they're on their way down.] It's a nice place to live - it's pretty big, so there's a lot of different landscapes. Gets kind of cold every now and then, but the scenery can't be beat.

I thought awe-inspiring men weren't scared of flower girls.

Really? Does it snow?

Well, it would depend on the flower girl.

All the time, in winter. Sometimes, even in fall or spring, too. Some people think it's even prettier when it's all covered in snow, though.

I try not to be scary unless I'm mad. So you're safe~

[There's a faraway look in her eyes at that.]

I've never known snow before. That's... kind of silly, isn't it?

Roger that, don't make you mad.

[He looks at her for a moment, just... surprised by the admission.] Really?

...were you born someplace tropical, then?

[She shakes her head.] I was born in the north, but I left there when I was still a baby. [And then she was raised in a lab, pretty much.] I spent the rest of my life underneath Midgar, until I met Cloud and traveled around with him. But I never got to see the snow.

It's okay, though. I've seen lots of pretty things to make up for it.

[He nods.] I'm sure you have. Things that I've probably never imagined, myself. Still...

...would you like to? See the snow, I mean.

[She tilts her head, then the smile comes back.]

Of course I would! But it's the middle of July right now. That'd be quite a feat, even for a man who makes the impossible possible~

[He reaches out to lightly poke her in the shoulder, grinning, as the elevator dings and the doors open] I'm a man of my word, Miss Aerith. Even if it might take a little while.

[That poke then turns into him offering her his arm.] Shall we?
