[He looks down - Hey, he thinks he sees it.] The place with the little lanterns in the window? Looks nice.

It'd melt in two seconds. But it's okay. I can wait. If this place has such a hot summer, it must have a winter, too.

Makes sense to me. So how long have you been here for, anyway?

[Down the street, and this would be him holding the door open for her.] After you.

[Aerith nods and walks in.]

[And this would be Mwu trying, so very very hard, not to check her out as she walks in before him. Old habits might die hard, but this is just a friendly thing.

[The server motions for them to follow him.]

[She can feel eyes on her, but it's not enough to make her uncomfortable. They're on a date after all, he has to have SOME guts to back up all that flirting.]

I opened my own shop right before everything happened, and I've got plenty of people working under me to keep it going long after I'm gone.

[She talks while following the server.]

[They're led to a corner table for two by the window, and Mwu moves to pull out a chair for Aerith first before seating.]

Thank you. ... I meant when I leave the castle. It seems hard for me to stay here longer than a few months, and I have no idea why.

[Mwu sits, opens a menu, and then looks at her over it.] Huh. Really? That's... kinda strange.

So, what happens then? Just go back to wherever it is we came from?

[She nods, her eyes on the menu.] Like nothing happened. But in some cases... some people don't have much to go back to. That's what concerns me.

[Yep. That's the part that ever so slightly concerns him. What with mere hours to live and all.]

Sounds rough. If you got used to this place, had a good life here, and then just got kicked out? No matter what you had going on back home, it'd hurt.

[He turns his gaze back to the menu.]

[There's something bittersweet in her tone.]

That's why we have to make this time last, whether we have something to go back to or not.

So, what do you do besides pilot?

[Chicken sounds good to him. He puts the menu down.] Well... not much to do on a ship in the middle of active duty. Have to be ready pretty much 'round the clock in case something happens, so it's hard to have a hobby or anything.

I help out with the maintenance and tuning where I can, but... pretty sure Murdoch and his team have that under control. He's probably just humoring me.

Hmm... [She rests her chin on her hands.] Ever considered building something yourself?

[He raises a blond eyebrow.] What, like models or something?

Not models! A whole ship!

...and how big would we be talking?

Enough to hold a pilot, at least.

Well, it all depends on what we want the ship to do.

I could probably make a boat pretty easily. Just need some wood, a hammer, and nails.

...or did you have something more advanced in mind?

I meant an airship~ the lake out there is pretty pathetic.

...well, I'd need some tools. And some materials. And I'd... probably need to learn how to actually build one, instead of just piloting it. That'd be pretty important, too.
