Thanksgiving is coming up quickly, isn't it? I'm sure once it's over, Christmas won't be far behind. There really are a lot of holidays near the end of the year. But being able to share them with my friends and family, I think that makes them that much more enjoyable.

I'd like to believe we've had enough surprises this month, but I really wonder..

Still, I think I can handle something as strange as mistletoe for Christmas. It should be easy enough to avoid. I'm just not sure what to expect for Thanksgiving. I hope you're wrong about those ravenous turkeys, Wash.

I must say I rather enjoyed the broadcast. I didn't think humans would come up with a device that could provide one with so much entertainment... The real-life experience wasn't nearly so impressive. Those I encountered were not what I had hoped for.

You know how they say narwhals are where the unicorn myths come from? Because they both have the really long horn?

Well, say that unicorns really existed. And one of them wandered onto an ice-floe because its migration pattern had been interrupted by climate change or something and it got separated from its herd. Because unicorns would totally travel in herds, it's less of a predation risk that way.

And say a narwhal came across the unicorn, because the colder waters are the natural territory of narwhals, and saw the unicorn as a competitor for food. Because over-fishing is hurting everything you know, food resources are pretty low for fish eating animals. Seeing the unicorn's horn, the narwhal might even mistake it for another narwhal and make it want to establish its dominance. So...
