I've got some important things to do, very important, so you're all going to have to survive without me for a while. If you get into any trouble and I'm sure you all will, just... go to Aveline, she'll fix it. Won't you Aveline? [ She'll make it up to her later, she swears. ]
So don't go fighting any dragons without me. [ She totally scribbles a little ♥ at the end of that. ]

Sorry
[ A few more false starts before she erases the filter all together. He should be able to figure out what she's going to be doing, he's smart like that. ]

The dwarf is gone... well he's been gone for a while, must've forgotten to mention it with the whole castle taking a giant camping trip to Crazyville. [ A pause. ] Figures Varric would be the first to make a break for it. [ Now who is going to listen to her moan about things and turn them into ridiculous stories? ]
Anyway... know of any good caves around here? Haven't had a decent cave adventure in a while.

as tempting as it would be to barge into her room /BY THE ONLY EXIT FROM THE CASTLE GROUNDS
SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISTER.
Carver waits where he is, making himself less obvious as he stays still and quiet in one of the only semi-convenient shadows. He's not looking to surprise Marian, anymore than he wants yet another surprise dropped on him by this place, but it seemed the better means of making sure she wasn't more actively trying to sneak on by. Sure, he's heard people've been here for years, and people don't die, or they come back from death, but Bethany doesn't even remember him.
And he does know his sister -- the one who survived. The one who he knows handles guilt about as well as she handles open commitment. One's less his concern (outside of a wish, now and then, to see and know her to be happy, if happiness is less a place and more a re-occuring short-lived event in the middle of all the other things one could and couldn't control), while the other is something he'd watched her suffer through already. Watched his mother make worse, and knew he'd done his part in unfairly unloading. He'd been an ass seven years back; not much of an excuse, in fact very little of one, but he could... do something now.
Sort of. Like not let her run off if she even got this far. By most means, her ragtag band of merry misfits and the inebriatedly sane could have some positive impact, if she let them.
Then again, this was Marian. He's not sure she's change that much.
In other, exhaustive words, Carver waits, and sees what there is to see. If there is anything. ]
anders clearly beat him to the punch on that one
