The dwarf is gone... well he's been gone for a while, must've forgotten to mention it with the whole castle taking a giant camping trip to Crazyville. [ A pause. ] Figures Varric would be the first to make a break for it. [ Now who is going to listen to her moan about things and turn them into ridiculous stories? ]

Anyway... know of any good caves around here? Haven't had a decent cave adventure in a while.

[he's silently staring at the back of her head for now. he knows she's lying -- being around her for so many years has made it much easier for her to recognize her behavior, when she's lying/hiding something, etc. etc.

but he'll just let out a sigh that says he knows she's full of it, and give her a chance to talk about it without being prompted.

There's nothing to thank me for. I didn't do anything. [TRYING .... so hard not to sound bitter there alskdjals but ugh, he's secretly so mad that he isn't ~special~ enough for hawke to want to talk to him/be comforted by him/etc ... EVEN THOUGH IT WOULD BE BAD IF SHE DID, TOO ... feelings are complicated, okay ;;]
