Was it wrong to expect a bigger fuss? Barring everyone that got drunk, which was actually not as amusing as it was probably meant to be?

[ And in case anyone was wondering she did not get drunk. Or drink ]

So a new year? With everything that's happened making it to it was actually quite nice. So, who has resolutions and what are they?

Training starts December 1, 11am. If you want to train come to the Danger Room. If you don't know where it is meet in the lobby and I'll get you there. 10.30am is the latest to meet in the lobby.

And I'm keeping note of attendance. It's hard to get better as a group if you only show up when you feel like it. If you have a reason then fine. I'll work out a schedule on the first to accommodate people and if there's enough split into smaller groups.

Bossy works for leadership right? [ She's hoping she sounded bossy. Or even slightly authoritative ]

[ Everybody was gone. Everyone from home, anyway. It had been slowly coming for months but now she was all that was left. The last mutant. The last X-Man. And it sucked. In nine days she'd have been here for eight months. For most of that there'd been someone, a reason to actually keep doing everything that she did. She'd fought to keep the training going and to not give up. Now? Now she wanted to give up and she couldn't find a reason to not ]

I can walk through anything. Even here the only thing that's stopped me has been the Dead Zone. For every entrance there's an exit, even a hidden door. Maybe out further into the Dead Zone is where it's hiding and that's why we haven't found it - maybe it's further than we've been. I'd rather find it than wait to be picked off.

I know I'm a bit late in this but how's everyone doing after the whole switch around thing? I'm still up in the Ortus Tower, which is nice as otherwise I'd probably end up walking into someone else's room [ She doesn't always use the door, okay ]

So who got moved? And do you prefer your old room or the new one?

Hey, guys. I thought I'd post a big thing out as I'd like to try and get a lot of people together soon? And if we've never met before then hi, I'm Kitty and I thought it'd be nice for us to know each other and do something fun.

As for this, who's free on Friday? I was thinking bowling and the more people we have the more fun it'll be. We could do teams, maybe think up prizes for a winning team and the highest scores?

[ After that Kitty places her journal down next to her. Where is she? Sat outside near the pond enjoying the view more than anything. She's always liked sitting by the pond, it's calming and just nice place. Things have been hectic lately so a little peace is a good thing. Come bug and join ]

I wonder how much more weirdness the castle can throw at us. The past month's been pretty busy. [ And if it wasn't the castle then it was the residents but still... so much ]

Also, if anyone needs a castle break - or you're just hungry - you should go to the Pie Hole. I'm really not exaggerating when I say that they have the best pie. [ Because it's so true ]

This kind of makes me wish I'd learned another language. Who knows how long this will even last for or if it'll happen again.

So... what important phrases would be the best to start with?

[ Good day castle residents. Today you'll find one girl by the name of Kitty Pryde sat up on the roof. She's a little sat today, after learning more of the loneliness of the castle. She found out a few days ago that some more friends had gone home but... it's only really now that it's hitting her. So she's sat up on the roof, knees pulled up just... being sad, and refusing to let the castle have any more of a reaction than that ]

I can't decide what's more selfish; being happy when people you know arrive or being sad when people leave and wishing they were still here. I don't even think that there's a middle ground to that - not making friends wouldn't exactly help either.

It feels like a broken record, but not saying or feeling something... [ She sighs ] I don't really know.

[ She's ready to go home, even with the pain and aftermath that she'd be returning to ]

[ any noise that you can hear in the background would be Kitty cleaning up. Sheesh, it was one thing after another with this castle ]

I'm glad that I don't have much stuff, at least cleaning up after whatever happened won't take too long.

How's everyone doing after the past week plus? Even with what it was part of me still thinks it could have been worse. I'm just glad to be back, and to be wearing my own clothes again. Being out there made me miss and appreciate real food. I don't think I've had a proper home cooked meal since I've been here. I'll definitely be spending a lot of time in town this week having food that isn't fruit and slightly fresher. Anyone want to join me?

[ Today, if you're on the grounds outside the castle, you'll find the young girl sat out near the pond, deeply in thought. She has her journal open, reading a few of the things that has happened whilst she's been away. She's in a mostly cheery mood but there's a few things bugging her ]

I've been here for a few months now and while sometimes it can be all right and the rest pretty much sucks, it's a little weird. Not just the being here but being in the future. Granted a few years isn't that far but it makes me think - what would I be doing? I haven't even really started thinking about what I'd like to do, not while I'm still at school.

[ She figures she'd probably be a full X-Man by then, or at least closer to it. A few years makes all the difference ]

Is there even a point wondering about that here? It's not like I'll remember when I go home and it's not like there's the same sort of things to do here. Who knows how long we'll even last, anyway?

[ And she sighs, before opening a filter ]

This might sound weird, but I figure it's worth a shot. My name's Kitty Pryde and where I'm from I'm known as a mutant, which you might know better as metahuman. There are a few of us here and some that have gone home. I'm also one of the X-Men - or rather one in training. I know that your powers, even your magic works differently from what ours does but there's something I'd like to offer you. Back home mutants are trained in how to use and control their powers so that they don't accidentally harm anyone. We have a training area set up here. Though the circumstances aren't the same there are still threats here. We train individually but also as a team.

My point is, if you'd like to train with us, either to be part of this or to get help with your powers then let me know. Even if nothing happens it's better to be ready, and being able to use your powers fully even if you don't need to is a good thing.

[ And she leaves it there, leaving her journal open. She'll sit, think, wait and enjoy relaxing by the pond ]
