Jo had asked both of them to come into the gallery in the morning, so she'd gotten up a bit earlier than usual to do a quick glance through all the pieces that were still hanging. Most of them she was familiar with, having been in the gallery for the time before the whole pirate-thing happened. There were still a couple that she didn't realize had been hung up, but sometimes that just was the case when you trusted people from the town to help you out.

Now she was sipping on a cup of coffee, leaning against a stool as she waited for either of them to show up. Hopefully, things would work out and this would be a smooth transition. She knew Nora enough to trust her with her old apartment, but Joshua was someone she'd just met. For a moment she wondered if she should've checked with Jilly, but this wasn't Jilly's responsibility and Joshua seemed to want to do this. It was almost amusing to think that she could find two people for the gallery in a day, but couldn't manage to find people to work in the Lux for the life of her.

Glancing at the clock on the wall, she assumed someone would show up soon.

They're all running off of tiny little assumptions, aren't they? Considering their content, it's not hard to to see why they're so popular. They're just tiny little ideas, harmless ones. Would you take a "Kiss Me" seriously? As commanded by a piece of candy? There's no risk in these, really, no commitment. Give a handful, titter over them, and then the day's over. They're really rather cute. Kudos to the man who thought them up, I suppose.

[... well, he can't hide in his room forever (well, he could, but the growing frustration he has against his gardevoir for being able to get all the most honest answers from him was frankly driving him nuts). in any case, joshua made the trek up to the castle and is currently puttering around in the music room, bouncing around from instrument to instrument until he finds himself back at the piano. it was odd, now that he thought about it. he hadn't touched a piano in almost two years. odd and uncharacteristically sentimental.

well. all he had to do was avoid ravels and he should be okay.

he plays the quiet beginning part of the winter wind, then changes his mind and starts off on this. he happens to have put a pile of books on top of his journal, but that's no reason for it not to flop open. have a bit of music over the journal, para. :D]

[He knew immediately that his powers had been cut. Flight, reality warping, even things as simple as ascension and mental blocks - gone. He had been searching through the journal to see if this was just him. Every page ended up being a pretty sore disappointment.]

[good morning, paradisans! joshua's lifting up his skirts over the icy roads to pick his way through the shopping district. so many gifts to buy, so little time. and the birds overhead aren't helping things along... although they are quite fun.

... oh, hush. at least he's not baiting people this time.]

[and after a brief break for lunch, he sets out in this dapper thing (sans the mustache and the lovely muttonchops) for shopping, round two. At least it's not as wet, but the birds are still an ever present hurdle along the way. Really.]

[ so after this lovely encounter that anyone in/near town is welcome to have seen/felt (although really the whole fight took all of five minutes), joshua is flying the strange, muddy, naked stranger to zelman's mansion at super speed.

[THUMP! If you were on one of the upper floors of the mansion, you have just heard the sound of a bed thunking into place in ~~one of~~ the attics. Well, golly gee whiz! Who could that possibly be? Could it be a wonderfully fashionable Shibuyan setting up shop in a spare room, with his Gardevoir doing most (if not all) the heavy lifting? Surely not! No one gets that lucky!

Buuut you could always try taking a peek up there. Who knows? Zelman's mansion just might have hit a rash of pure, 100% burning luck...]

[lobby, corner of. see: one joshua kiryu, sitting crosslegged, surrounded by literally hundreds and hundreds of board games. if you thought of it, it's there somewhere amongst the stacks and stacks of boxes. and what is he doing? well, there are a lot of fun things you can do with eight sets of mouse trap... like making rube goldberg machines even more unnecessarily complicated. he pauses in the middle of the elaborate... whatever he's making and addresses the journal.]

Aha... would anyone like to take apart a board game for me? I do like the look of that dome, but I really could care less about the dice.

wedding bells; part 1/2 - the ceremony!

[ALL OF THE FOLLOWING IS FORWARD-DATED TO THURSDAY!

the Four Season's Room has been transformed in the early morning hours. there are decorated chairs on the sand, flower petals scattered about and the sound of distant seagulls cawing overhead. the sun is bright... the sand is warm but not too hot, and the ebb and flow of the ocean is a lulling rhythm in the background. a string quartet of ghosts (what? they are of many talents, friends) are playing a soft melody in the background as people mill about.

in short, it's a perfect day!

come one, come all...! invitations went out earlier in the week imploring ALL CASTLE RESIDENTS to join in celebrating this holy matrimony. everyone could use something nice and relaxing to enjoy, right...? even if you don't know the bride and groom, you're more than welcome here.]
