[Bruce had managed to head over to Lana's in order to play Monopoly with her. For the past forty minutes to an hour the journal has recorded their game. Bruce insisted to ensure her that he wouldn't cheat ~ or that she wouldn't either... but he didn't exactly word it that way. However the game is entirely boring and Bruce hadn't recalled that part of the game. Hostile Global take overs were much more entertaining than this game... though he did like being the little car]
Lana I still can't believe I owe you that much for landing on St. James Place... [glances to her and pays her the paper cash before handing her the die]
Your roll. [and he tilts her head at her because she's staring at the die for a bit longer than she had been before] Lana? Everything alright?
Who... are you?
[looks at her a bit oddly]
It's Bruce? Bruce Wayne?
[aaand Lana screams and jumps up from the coffee table where they'd been playing the game.... and there goes the coffee table and their game]
Lana... it's alright, what happened?
[ooc: Lana's loss start!]

No! You can't make me do anything I-I don't want to.
Where's Clark? Where's my...my... [ pause as she tries once again to remember her Aunt Nell. This is very upsetting! ]
no subject
[he feels bad that she's so upset also his arm HURTS]
no subject
No no... Not with a stranger! I know better.
You're a liar. Clark's not here. You... You did something to me!
no subject
Lana? Lana!
no subject
Clark - she won't go inside with a stranger. She thinks I kidnapped her.
no subject
Clark?
[ starts to walk over to him ]
He said you were a grown-up, too! Why?
no subject
Okay. You alright?
[glance back at Lana, carefully judging the distance between them, and he lifts up a hand]
Okay, Lana, stop there, alright? I'll answer anything you want, as long as you don't come too close. Alright?
no subject
Yeah, I'll be fine.
no subject
A friend? I didn't mean to hurt him! I'm not bad. Something's wrong.
[ moves closer to him ]
I won't hurt you! Where's your mom and dad?
no subject
Yeah, he's my friend. And I know you didn't mean it; it was just an accident. You just don't know how to control your strength.
[ow, his everything; he takes a step back]
My mom and dad are at home. Lana, please, I need you to stop walking and listen to me. Stay still, alright?
no subject
Why?
no subject
How about you step inside, okay? So you're not in the rain.
no subject
You're in the rain and you're sick? Your mom and dad are gonna be mad.
[ rubs at her arm, blinking rapidly in the rain, then starts to turn, only to hesitate once more. She's six, but she's not stupid ]
...Are you really Clark? [ looks back at him ] Prove it!
no subject
[smile]
I'm Clark Kent. I live on the farm next door. Ask me anything.
no subject
Um... Just... Say something Clark knows!

They aren't here, though. I thought it was a dream, so that I'd see them again. But I can't...! And I hurt him! [ points at Bruce ] And I thought being grown-up would be fun, but I just want to go home to...!
I-I... I don't remember who I want to go home to. This is bad! It's all bad!
[ pause, and a sniff, before she bursts into tears and lunges forward to hug Clark without thinking, even if he has sickness cooties ]
no subject
You've only been grown up for ten minutes, Lana, maybe not even. It gets a lot better. It's okay––
[and he's hit, and Clark has to grab onto her to stop himself from hitting the ground immediately, so he just gasps for breath, and probably does a good job of weighing her down as his knees give out on him.]
La... na...
no subject
Clark? Clark! Is it cause you're sick? Being in the rain made it worse!
[ looks over to Bruce, and...can't remember his name ]
Mister! He's sick! He needs to see the doctor.
no subject
Don't... touch...
no subject
Lana wait... [goes in a soothing tone despite the panic probably on his face for a moment as he moves closer and wraps his arms around Lana's waist and painfully - shoulder still not right but not dislocated at least - pulls her away from him and a few feet back]
Stay here, I'm going to go see what's wrong with him. Just... go inside and get some dry clothes on. There are plenty of outfits to pick from, I'll make sure Clark is okay.
no subject
...Me? I made Clark sick?
no subject
I don't know what it is Lana, but I'm sure it's just the weather and stress. He'll be okay. He was just worried about you and came even though he was really in bad shape. He's a good friend, and he cares about you. So do I, so we really do need to get inside.
no subject
Come on! We'll go in and you can have chicken soup.
no subject
Lana! [goes toward her and once more, there's a low tug around her waist and sorry super speed/strength girl you're getting hauled over Bruce's GOOD shoulder for the moment]
Come on, in we go. [brings her inside and glances to Clark who is once more NEAR DYING and he sets her inside and looks at her very stern and adult-like]
Stay here young lady. [means it]
