[Pachirisu attacks! With the spark, the Vulpix is paralyzed. Ratatosk pauses, and uses that chance to throw a Pokéball at the Vulpix and after a few wiggles, gotcha! Vulpix is caught!]

Atleast now I have something more than an electric rodent. And I should be able to use that red rock that was in my room with the rest of this junk.

I'm currently registering my darling Princess for the Beauty contest. Even if she doesn't win, I'm so proud of her for working with me these past couple of days. The lazy little thing isn't so lazy when you mention ribbons.

Entry 004: Just when I'd gotten used to the Castle...

Since my last mishap with these journals occurred while reading through it aloud, I have decided to write this entry. When I woke up yesterday I found, to my great surprise, that the castle was… a hotel. Does this happen very often? I almost have to wonder if that one girl has anything to do with it. The one with the interesting hair, and the very strange flowers. She’s a little unstable currently, from what I’ve read. I do wish I’d caught her name, though. Ah, well… The world seems to have changed completely, and it reminds me of something, but I cannot remember what…

[Raine is in the Safari Zone today after hearing about someone catching a Dratini there. She thinks it's quite wonderful that people have dedicated this area to be a protected habitat for wild, rare Pokemon.]

Hmm, I know they must be around here somewhere. The Pokedex says a colony of them was recently found underwater...Maybe I can fish for them?

[Raine approaches one of the lakes in the Safari Zone, looking at it carefully from all angles before deciding on the best spot to fish - a rocky overhang that juts out over what looks like deep water. She's let her Quagsire out, keeping one eye on it so that it doesn't attack the wild Pokemon, in case she should fall in accidentally.]

I ran into some girl on the road who was desperate for a Meowth, and she offered to trade me something else for it, but I just gave it to her. It'll probably be a lot happier now. Probably makes me the only person in the entire world without a Pokémon, but I'll live.

Pretty quiet world if you don't take part in collecting all the fighting super-pets.

Why exactly are they only fighting each other? I must have missed some point here to it. Is that really the best way to use someone you've called for help? It seems like it would make more sense to have them help out on tasks or defend you from harm than just pointless battles.

Okay, so I'm conscientiously objecting from this whole battling thing. Not only is it probably immoral and entirely unsatisfying but it also promotes a message of violence which is frankly just not cool, kids.

I would add that this has NOTHING at ALL to do with the fact that mine is a confused duck that walks in circles.

That said, I'm contemplating a roadtrip, but... on a train instead of on an actual road 'cause I've had bad experiences in that department, 'let us never speak of it again' type experiences and could I possibly move any more swiftly on-- YAY TRAINS?

So I've mostly been keeping this thing in the ball. Honestly? It sort of freaked me out to wake up in this place. I mean I swear I'm missing some chunk of time or something. Of course I'd like to blame the castle, mostly since I figure it's to blame anyway.

I still think I'll keep it in the ball and just enjoy the weather. I was raised not to let ghosts and demons roam free, and this is certainly one of those things that doesn't look too friendly.
