This place is really amazing. Training Pokémon is a lot like taming monsters back in my own world. My Eevee helped me catch an owl-looking one earlier tonight. Hoothoot, I think the Pokédex said. He definitely put up a good fight against Eevee though.

GUYS. I was hanging around Cinnabar Island and found a huge swarm of Marill. If you're quick, you might be able to catch one. I know I did. I think I'll call this one [Thoughtful pause] Betty. She looks like a Betty.

Daniel evolved into a Charmeleon, too. He's actually becoming as much of a pain in the ass as the man I named him after. Do Pokemon have teenage years? I think mine is hitting them now. He's stubborn and he has this selective deafness thing when it comes to commands.

He'll learn, though. Maybe I just need to overwork him until he's too tired to fight back. It always works with Daniel back home. Anyone up for a battle? I think the little snot needs it.
