[02]: Pies

Pies delivered:

Cherry pie for Delysia

Still to be delivered/picked up:

- Apple pie for Ianto Jones (delivery - when would be best for me to bring it over?)
- Banana pie for Handy (pick-up)
- Pumpkin pie for...Zagreus? (pick-up)

Let me know if I've forgotten yours, or you'd like to place an order. The pizza parlor is now letting me serve pies as well as pizzas, they've been added to the dessert menu. I'll admit it's a relief, I'm not particularly good at trying to clean up after myself at night and hide the evidence. And the pizza thing isn't so bad, now that there's a compromise.

[Filter - NYPD - Gene's Team]

[have a bustling CID office. Photographs of the victims plastered all over the notice board with notes pinned to them and around.

The second case had not been fatal, but everything pointed to the same killer. Both victims were found with a 'magic' journal on their person, the attacks similar in their violent nature, and both Paradisa residents. Both cases were being treated as the same killer, and both were under investigation by Gene's team.

Alex and Gene's visit to inform The Doctor about Donna's murder had proved more fruitful than Gene could ever have imagined. As far as he was concerned, they had their killer. Man by the name of John Smith, with a Doctor complex.

Now it was time to bring the bastard in.]

Right. [Gene stood in the centre of the office looking stern, and raring to go.] This fuckin' psycho is being stopped. Today.

Tyler, I want you checking journal entries, as far back as you can manage, get uniform in on it. This handy John Smith prick left a message on Donna's phone at 5.40pm on Sunday, approximately 10 minutes after her murder. He went out of 'is way to make sure the journal recorded it, what kind of prick does that? Something to hide. I want you checking back through the journal history for a tight motive, anythin', that can help us nail this bastard. Every entry the various Doctors 'ave made recently, 'specially this 'wannabe' Doctor.

Drake, you're the psychology expert. You can go and talk to the bleedin' fruitcake in hospital, get as much out of the crazy bitch as you can.

Carlisle, you an' me are payin' your doppelganger a nice little visit. Guy doesn't seem to 'ave an alibi, he was as suspicious as a friggin' whore in a nunnery when I spoke to him, and from what the Doctor told me, it's all pointin' to 'im.

Right! Any questions ladies, or can we get on with bookin' a bastard?!

.. I don't like it! Everything is wrong! None of the buildings look familiar at all. At least when I was in the castle some things were familiar. I was trying to cross the street when someone almost struck me with their carriage! T-then they made a rude gesture, it wasn't very nice!

[It was spoken in a moment of having nothing else better to say for the situation at hand, but it was still spoken. Jun was just being a good friend, after all, trying to cheer up her companion in yet another moment of melancholy. Her gesture to Delysia was something that would be more for her friend's own happiness rather than a method of payment, but there was no way in hell she was going to tell her that. After all, the hardened bounty hunter was not going to be stuck with a crying baby the entire time she was stuck in this behemoth of a city.

The terms were simply "show me this city of yours". The time they had here was limited, and if being here was Delysia's dream, then Jun would not accept her moping around when there were experiences to be had. She wasn't about to call herself sentimental, but she was definitely one who got a high off experiencing the vastness of a new place, all the while taking advantage of the opportunities that were going to present themselves. She had already taken her friend's advice and reluctantly and unenthusiastically dressed to conform to the culture of the city.

So, as per request, Jun was dressed to match, to fit right into the bustling masses of New York city. Journals abandoned, they left the loft that morning, hand in hand so as not to get separated throughout the excitement of the day. Compared to the other days, there were quite a lot of people out, and most seemed in particularly high spirits.

Jun's eyes passed over a flamboyantly dressed person and shrugged. Even the people seemed more colorful today. Great. There would be no chances to have Delysia get all weepy now.]

She’s hoping that Del’s answers to her questions will provide some firm evidence, or at least a clue as to the identity of this apparent maniac.

She stops outside Del’s room and gives the door a gentle but firm knock, and then waits for a response- thinking it’s likely that Del will be suffering from post-traumatic stress and having no desire to alarm her. After all, Del might very well hold the key to solving this case.]

About the Archive

"Paradisa Lost" is the archive of what the journals contained between December 1st, 2006 and January 10th, 2012. On that final day, Paradisa issued new journals, so that the residents could fill them up again. While there are still residents around who have old journals, we have chosen to preserve the old journals here for muns' reference and history.

"Lost" in the title refers to both the old journals that the residents once kept, and also to our move to Dreamwidth from the original Livejournal community, where Paradisa started. It is a fresh start for muns, as well as for the characters.
