I woke up this morning with a hangover and the sun in my eyes. And the birds, good God, the birds. I stood up, confused, and hit my head on the ceiling something awful, you know, like when you forget you closed the door and walk into it...but anyway.

I'm apparently living in a tiny little country shack, now. It smells like hay and spring and pollen. And I have hay fever.

I'm stuck outside because my home is too small to be worth the discomfort. I'm wearing shorts, I feel like some kind of tourist in Hispania. What civilized man in his right mind wears shorts? I think I have a sunburn on the backs of my thighs.

And Caterina still thinks she's married. She scolded me!

This place is absolutely wonderful.

I love my new dress and hat. They're both blue and white, like my Water Tribe clothes, but made with a different sort of fabric. Did someone say this was called 'plaid'? Either way, they're very lovely.

Everyone is so kind and helpful. The owner of the town shop, Tom Nook, has advised me on buying every single one of his items! I've purchased a lot today, but I ran out of money... How do I get more? There were several things he told me I should buy from him, and I hope to do so within the next few days.

Congratulations to those who won the fishing tournament! I hope you are happy with your prizes.
