[Hahn is currently wandering about in the lobby. After just over a week here, he's still baffled by the architecture, the technology, the time travel, everything. He probably looks like a fish out of water.]

Ugh, why is it so hot here? I can't wait for winter.

I finally think I'm starting to make sense of what's going on, finally read everything I can find about myself, and then something weird happens, the Avatar is evil, Sakka's stupider than I expected, and who knows what else.

I don't get it.

[bewildered]

Wh-- what is this place?!

What is this... stone walls? Is this the Earth Kingdom?!

What's going on?!
[identity profile] sogonnaboneher.livejournal.com
The city is downright creepy right now. Most of the streets are dead; it's eerie. Everyone's hiding. And anyone who's out there is hysterical.

In the upset way, not the funny way.

[loud splash and then a gasp as he surfaces]

What the---what the fri----om... [he's clinging to the iceberg and panting for breath and shivering]

... is that...

Okay, I'm baffled.

---- Filter to House (minus Jet and Zuko), Mai, Ty Lee, and friends of Zuko and Jet----

Okay, people, we have two options.

Let the lovebirds make idiots of themselves and get married and whatnot, and laugh at them.

Or try to save what is left of their reputations and try to talk them out of it before they do something stupid.

[knock on bedroom door]

Hey, Katara, about yesterday...

[silence for a moment, and then he opens her door anyway]

Katara?
[identity profile] sogonnaboneher.livejournal.com
Alright, that's it. You're all being painfully quiet.

Every single one of you reading this, we're going into town to crash house parties and clubs and whatnot and we're just going to have good fun, get dinner, goof around, you know. Meet new people and all.

If you're depressed about something, come on, we'll lighten things up. If it doesn't work, well, you tried.

If you're reading this and want to come, you can come.* Meet us at the edge of town in an hour. Dress for a fun time. Leave the killjoy attitude at home... er, in your room.

*no psychos or crazies. Sorry, safety issue.
[identity profile] sogonnaboneher.livejournal.com
You know what's disgusting? Bugs.

We didn't have bugs back home.

Disgusting, disgusting, disgusting.
[identity profile] sogonnaboneher.livejournal.com
That wasn't even a whole week.

I feel cheated.
[identity profile] sogonnaboneher.livejournal.com
Okay, so I realized what I really hate about this place. It's the change. And how it changes where I don't want it to change.

See, back home, tradition is everything. I did the same things in the Water Tribe that my great-granddad did. We probably had the same hobbies and everything. Things like that just don't change; they're traditions that last forever. That's good. I hate change and it's fine like that. In fact, there are only two areas I LIKE change, and this place is good at messing that up.

These two things are:
- the weather. Ironically, the weather DOESN'T change in this place.
- whoever I'm courting. But the town girls here are boring (really -- they talk too much) and the girls at the castle.... half of them are psychotic powerhouses and the other half are undead immortal... things. I don't know. Either way, not really interested in dating them.

(Kylie, Mai, etc, being the exceptions. Any other gorgeous, sane girls are welcome, too. Sophie, you're gorgeous too.)

But this place is obsessed with change, otherwise. And I hate that. It's annoying. You can never get used to it or adapt fast enough, and by time you do adapt, you have to adapt again. I just can't keep up with it, and that's why I focus on my real life rather than the journal.
[identity profile] sogonnaboneher.livejournal.com
Oh, Paradisa and its trends. First everyone (and I mean everyone) gets a cat. Then everyone turns into kids. Now this.

Scribbled out messes of ink: the new way of doing private entries!

Come on, people. Do you guys really rely on these things that much? Sheesh.

[let's celebrate being HUMAN AGAIN by being a retard!]

Hey, Master Earthbender, watch this, I can earthbend too!

[chucks a rock towards Toph, totally expecting her to catch it]

edit: What are you supposed to do when people start passing out left right and center in your house? And only you are left alone? But everyone else starts dropping like... well, like hail?

I kissed a girl and she fainted. Apparently I am an instant recipe for comas. Or swooning. Yeah, she swooned.

Also, Zukko's an idiot. And his "girlfriend" -- who, for the record, is incredibly attractive -- is too good for him.

Alright, I don't want to be a deer anymore.

[identity profile] sogonnaboneher.livejournal.com
Alright, so, ladies.

You wear skimpy clothes, but... you don't want guys to look at you. Apparently they're not allowed to look at you.

Er, why is that? Don't get all pissy and accuse me of being a jerk, I'm just wondering where the logic is in that. Explain it.
[identity profile] sogonnaboneher.livejournal.com
Maybe this place isn't out to get me. I mean, it sucks that Yue's gone, it really does, I guess, but at least there's no one here who knew me back home. No more ties to home, other than other people from my world. Guess I'm really home free.

... I wouldn't mind being human again, though. This deer thing pretty much sucks, except girls get all giggly and affectionate over it. Every time they see me, they have to come over and pet me and think I'm adorable and stuff. I love the girls in town, I really do, they're not crazy and high strung and... manly... like most of them at the castle.

And the view. Can't say I've ever considered being short to be useful, but trust me, from here, I can see a lot. If any of you ever get to be a deer, milk it for all it's worth! Whoo!
[identity profile] sogonnaboneher.livejournal.com
Okay, so, being a deer thing, I've had a lot of time to think and I've got an idea.

You know how most of us have other people from our worlds? Like there are at least a dozen people from my world here, and stuff? Well, how about the people who don't have others, and never had? What about them?

I think that one of them -- someone who hasn't told many people much about them -- is the owner of this place. You know, someone who controls it. They just pretend that they're just another person from another world. It makes sense!

Or there's a whole bunch of them. A committee! A whole lot of people with no one else from their world, all pretending to be other residents. Someone's gotta be running this place.
[identity profile] sogonnaboneher.livejournal.com
THANKS, CASTLE. THANKS A LOT.

You could have done anything else, but no. You had to turn me into some weird little half-animal thing. I could have been anything, really, but you turn me into something that's not even a real animal. It's like a reindeerwhale without the whal---

[sound of... a deer falling down stairs with a thunk]

FOUR LEGS ARE NOT FUN.

For Fire Nation stuff, this is pretty neat.

[sittin' at the kitchen table, carving something, because he is cool like that. Another one of those didn't-know-the-journal-was-open affairs.]

Hey Sakka.

Not that I mean anything by it, but your sister's filling out nicely.

About the Archive

"Paradisa Lost" is the archive of what the journals contained between December 1st, 2006 and January 10th, 2012. On that final day, Paradisa issued new journals, so that the residents could fill them up again. While there are still residents around who have old journals, we have chosen to preserve the old journals here for muns' reference and history.

"Lost" in the title refers to both the old journals that the residents once kept, and also to our move to Dreamwidth from the original Livejournal community, where Paradisa started. It is a fresh start for muns, as well as for the characters.
