Personal Log, Stardate 56845.2

I seem to be stranded in an unfamiliar location. Last I remember, I was in my office on board the Enterprise, crosschecking a crewmember's records with Starfleet Medical. I don't remember being transported here, and as far as I can tell, this isn't a holoprogram. I suppose it's possible I fell asleep while I was working and this is all a dream, but... my dreams aren't usually this realistic.

These look like living quarters of some kind. The view from the window is... well, this looks like an M-class planet. Fairly Earthlike, though I can't say Earth has sunsets like that, not to mention a blue moon.

[Transcribed odd noises as she sets the journal down and goes to take a look out the door and down the hall.]

This looks to be working.

As far as I can see, there are rows of rooms up and down the hall outside of where I currently am. There are stairs leading both down and up, so there's no telling how many floors there are. I think I'm going to have to look around once I have a better idea of exactly what's going on here.

There are no recognizable computer terminals, so I'll have to assume the native civilization is relatively low-tech. Although it's probably best not to assume anything at this stage.

[A pause as she idly scans the pages in her journal.]

...other people have written in this. Either I'm using a book that someone else has used before, or... This isn't some kind of communications device, is it? Can anyone else read this?

I slept REALLLLLY well last night. I guess I was all tired out from the stress of coming to this new place. It's okay, though, it's not like I don't have a fun new method of stress relief!

Vexen's bed is REALLY comfortable! I sat on mine when I went upstairs to get my journal this morning and it's not nearly as nice. I'm glad I won't be spending the night in my room.
He's so weird, though, he doesn't sleep with any blankets. If I hadn't been squashed up so close to him I'd have been really cold!

Oh well, I guess it works out. Maybe I can slowly convince him to use a blanket or two! I bet he would if I threatened to start some of his science stuff on fire if he didn't..
