[ Up on the first level of the Eiffel Tower is Kotetsu wheezing after walking up over three hundred sets of stairs in the freezing cold. He's huddling close to his partner before shivering and wheezin' at the same time. ]

[His bottom lip trembles for a split second but after he manages to bite down on it softly to stop it, it's gone. one deep inhale and exhale later barnaby manages to fight off a sudden crying spell but while trying to calm himself down he squeezes tightly at kotetsu's hand in his pocket]

[what is he even supposed to do now? just tell kotetsu something corny like, "i'd like to be with you for as long as possible?" can he say that?? there's no way he can get away with anything more than that. he's not even sure how comfortable he is staying here holding kotetsu's hand in his pocket. maybe he should just be happy for what he has now and leave it at that. he knows what it's like to shut down his own feelings once. one more time won't be that bad. right?

and so with that final decision in mind, borna looks up to tell kotetsu that things are fine and that they should be going now
