[ If Stefan isn't at The Pie Hole (where he's baking) he can be caught on his way to and from there, in the library of the castle, in the hallways, stairwells. He even sometimes pensively stands on the roof, just because. Or, sometimes, his door is open. It reminds him of the second time he went to college. He could also be around the kitchen or Death Match. He will not be in the Lux. Other than that, have at it! ]

Stefan had his hand on a pan. Pancakes were the order of the day, requested by a very indecent Elena (indecent because she had his shirt on, nothing else and had stayed in their room). But, he was a good boyfriend and that meant he had no problem with getting dressed, making pancakes and bringing them to her. When he spotted Buffy, he smiled. He remembered their conversation on the cruise ship and several after. He refused to live his life hiding from these... sugarplum fairies. But, at the moment, he wasn't thinking about them.

"Guilty. After I finish this, I'm wishing up a bag." He looked down, turning the burner to low. "Elena's hungry." He added, "My girlfriend," for good measure not because he was suspicious or wanted her to go away, but because he hadn't talked about her with Buffy that he could remember.

It was still very strange to her; she'd gone so long without seeing him but his voice had become somewhat familiar to her. She walked over to the counter beside him and laughed a little, it all making a little bit more sense.

"Ah, I see. So that means there's still room in my book for a vampire who has a cooking hobby." She glanced over to the batter then the pan, raising her brows. "People must really like pancakes around here."

"Why?" he asked, leaning against the counter, the pancakes sizzling. "I don't think I'm the first to choose pancakes -- or to make them here but, do others? A lot?" It was a serious question. He was curious. "And yes, there is plenty of room. I'm a great cook."

She smiled briefly, looking down and before bringing her head back up and shaking it. "It's nothing, don't worry about it."

And before he had a chance to make her elaborate, she changed the subject. "So, baking! Is this something you've always had fun doing?"

"Okay," he said, grabbing a spatula and turning a pancake. "Pretty much. Cooking in general is pretty relaxing. But, what I really love is the reaction - when someone I cook for enjoys my food. It feels good," he replied, smiling. "Do you cook?"

That question kind of made her laugh, and her brows raised as she looked away, staring a bit in front of her. "Not so much." Then she focused back on him. "My mom did most of the cooking."

"Ah," he replied. "But, you eat."

"I do." Another brief smile and a head nod. "As I'm sure about everyone else does here."

"Probably," he said, the conversation winding down. Getting out a plate, he moved the two pancakes onto it, making sure to turn off the burner. "Well, I --" But, his sentence was interrupted as the familiar flash of gold swooped by.
