(no subject)

Who: Gwaine and YOU
What: A medieval man in a casino. This can only end well.
When: Second day of Diwali, fuck yeah
Where: Ballroom-turned-casino

Sir Gwaine is going to punch Allen Walker.

The temperatures have taken a very noticeable downturn so wandering out shirtless is not a very good idea lately. However, neither does he want to stay in the house overlong. Gwaine + work ≠ happy and work is what Arthur has been piling on after the braining and kidnapping fiasco.

Unfortunately for him, the only clothes left in the house today were these. Or so Allen a little too cheerfully informed him before basically shoving the shirt over Gwaine's head.

Yep. Gwaine is going to punch Allen. But that'll have to wait. The foreign sound and lights of slot machines are doing a very good job of distracting him right now.

"You could be a challenge in other ways besides this card game," James tilts his head back, eyes narrowing only a touch, "As it stands I find you, particularly odd as it stands. A man like you that does not know it and yet seems the type too have such knowledge."

"I am a bit of a detective, it is, a habit you could say." James grinned though, not often he could surprise and amuse someone at once.

It's alright, the more confused he is the more he learns. "A person who investigates crimes to put it simply."

"No? What have you heard of it as a profession with then" He's curious now, well more so then normal at least and it causes him to scoop his coins into his bag, stepping away from the table.

Are they really? That's interesting, and James tilts his head at that, "Oh is it now? Well then who do I have the honor of addressing Sir...?" Always good to be polite.

"Pleasure," He nods at the drop of titles and smiles, "Then call me James."

He shrugs slightly and leans against the table, rather casual about it really. "The goal is to get to 21 or as close to it as possible, without going over it. The one closest to it at the end of the hand is the victor."

He nods and just chuckles slightly, "Too simple? Far from it. And yes they do, all numbered cards are their value, those labelled with a J, K or Q are ten points, and an ace can either be one or eleven depending upon which gives you the best hand." Following so far Gwaine?

"Precisely. You can have more cards dealt to you in order to make the best hand, or stay if you are to close to going over and hope no one else goes higher than you."
