[ courtyard filter ]

[ in spite of paradisa returning to normal (or as normal as it was going to get), uru hadn't taken a chance leaving the castle perimeter since the vampires attacked. instead, she didn't want to scare anyone and stuck close to the castle, keeping busy there instead. she actually found herself more focused than when she was living in the city. kara's departure had been upsetting but reminded her how she wanted to learn to knit as well as the super heroine, and so she had been doing that outside in the courtyard. not that... she had gotten very far with what she had been trying to put together. she still had that horrifying excuse for a scarf she had tried to sew for damian last christmas.

she really needed to improve. :(

but she kept hearing something in the tree above her and put down all her things, glancing up at it. she didn't see anything in there. it sounded a lot like... after a minute, she had hopped up onto the lowest branch and began to pull herself up into the tree. ]

[It's a nice day and for the moment, there is nothing crazy going on, so Jason takes the opportunity to go for a walk outside the castle. You never know when madness strikes again in this place after all. It's best to take advantage of the peace when possible.

Entering the courtyard, one of the first things Jason notices is someone climbing up a tree. Nothing too weird. He climbs them all the time himself. Thus he pays it no heed and looks away again, ready to move on.

At least until he realizes it's someone familiar. Glancing back, his suspicion is confirmed and Jason moves closer to the tree.]

[ she's about to pull herself up onto another branch when the voice startles her. ]

Who...

[ peering down cautiously, she relaxes when she realizes it's just jason. she doesn't wave but she does give a nod of acknowledgement. ]

Ah, hello! What are you doing out here?

[Jason on the other hand, does wave in greeting before stopping at the foot of the tree.]

I'm out for a walk. What are you doing up there? [You're not exactly that much of a climber, Uru...]

[ pfft, she points at one of the higher branches. ]

I heard something!

[He tries to peer between the branches, but fails to see anything from where he's standing.

So the logical solution to this is, of course, skillfully climbing up into the tree himself. Once he reaches her level:]

Heard what?

[ FFFFFF how did he climb so fast. ;_; she looks in awe for a moment and then glances back up. ]

I think it's a bird. But it sounded really... quiet?

[He's had lots of practice. :| Jason follows her gaze up.]

A bird? You hardly ever hear those... Maybe it's hurt?

[ why did he have to use the "H" word. now she's moving past him and carefully pulling herself upwards. ]

I hope whatever's there is okay!
