050; time travel

You know. I don't like time travel.

Or I think I don't like it. I haven't really experianced real time travel, but I was in my future once, and it wasn't fun. I expect time travel to be something like that.

And it's absurd thinking time is linear. Flowing only one way and all the moments that already happened totally obliterated. Absolutely absurd.

True. Not all my time traveling was nice.

Especially not when I got left on a dead space station for five hours. Or when the Dalek and Cybermen armies ... anyway.

I did try really, really, really hard. Ended up mucking things up horribly, lost the Doctor and to fix it all the event had to happen. My dad had to die, just like he had originally done.

Nothing you want to meet. Ever.

Never met a Black Shadow, but yeah. More or less.

So a bit like the Nestene Consciousness then? That was living plastic, though less of the 'instant death' and more 'attacks with shop-window dummies.'

[identity profile] fantasticninth.livejournal.com 2007-05-14 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, not unarmed shop window dummies. That'd just be silly.

Nevermind the fact that most mummies don't come back to life in the first place.

My point exactly. It wasn't all shop dummies. It was everything plastic. Those just happened to be especially violent.

So I've heard. I missed it by only a few days. A bit disappointed about it, really.

Huh. Doesn't sound familiar, which is weird. But I guess with all the various universes being compiled here there's bound to be a language I don't speak.

You don't dream?

[ooc: If only he knew it was mangled Spanish. xD]

...think I might've had that second one, actually. But the words were all jumbled.

[identity profile] fantasticninth.livejournal.com 2007-05-15 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
It did. Almost like-- [non-sensical string of gibberish] er, I could've sworn that wasn't what I meant to write.

[identity profile] not-from-mars.livejournal.com 2007-05-15 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Hopping in!

That's odd, so have I.

[identity profile] fantasticninth.livejournal.com 2007-05-15 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
Not a good sign.

Something's up.

[identity profile] not-from-mars.livejournal.com 2007-05-15 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
For certain. That is odd.

Though I was hearing something more like... [lots of gibberish! and some squigglies as well]

[identity profile] fantasticninth.livejournal.com 2007-05-15 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
No, no, it's [gibberish, gibberish, something that looks like a camel]

...

[frustrated sigh] This isn't working.

[identity profile] fantasticninth.livejournal.com 2007-05-15 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Very no. And every time I try to-- [giant blotch and funny shapes] Well, that happens. I don't think it wants us to talk about it.
