[Sophie is sitting in a small cafe downtown, just taking in the sights. It's been a while since she'd been in town, so she's just taking in the sights, hanging out, having coffee. She's got the journal open on the table, but she's free to be bugged in person as well]

Okay, girls!
Put on something fun, drag your friends along, and go here:

[jots down the directions to the Bordello Bar]

I'm heading there now, so show up at any time.

...It's time to show the boys how it's really done.

Who: Jay and Kay
What: Jay comes home after his confrontation with Legato
When: Last Monday evening
Where: Their apartment
Rating: PG-13

Jay quietly shuts and locks the door behind him. With a sigh he drops the upbeat and happy face he'd been showing Eunice while they were at the bar. He's exhausted... physically and mentally. He crosses the apartment to the kitchen. Opening the fridge, he's happy to find the castle had provided them with a six pack. After rummaging through the drawers for a bottle opener, he pops off the cap, not seeing (or caring) where it flew. Questions start flooding through his head as he takes a long sip.

Did that really just happen... Did I really kick that psychopath's ass... Did Eunice really just stand there and watch?

What now?

There's a solid *thunk* as he sets the bottle down on the counter. His head falls forward as he heaves another sigh, shaking his head.

[the problem with not possessing a proper sense of fear is that, sometimes, wandering around the LA city streets when it's getting dark out suddenly seems like a really good idea.

so he's just walking around, thinking about morbid, depressing things instead of paying attention to just who might be following him around. suffice to say, this will not be a fun night for him.]

This is really strange. Usually these things definitely don't last any longer than a week ...

Then again, the castle's been acting up big time this year in general. I'm starting to get a little irritated with this change, though ... I hate not having any chakra. [sighs]

How is everyone else holding out with their jobs and such?

[Yep, Wybie's doodling in his journal as he sits outside in the school yard during Recess. His usual things, robots, dinosaurs, UFO's]

Disneyland was awesome yesterday. It's too bad we've got to go to school today, I could have stayed there at least another day.

Oh, hey has anyone tried contacting people they know? I tried calling my Gramma in Oregon, but just kept getting the operator. That was really weird. Guess it's some creepy Paradisa thing, right?

[Very faintly in the background, the sound of cell phone buttons being pressed. Slowly, of course, as she's still learning how to deal with the whole "handheld phone" thing (thank you, Joshua, for teaching her how to... dial and call numbers, and most likely Stephanie for the rest =|), but Rin's a rather quick study when it comes to some things and she's picking this up okay.

She presses call, and presses the phone to her ear... yet again. And yet again, it rings for a while and then goes to voice mail, just like it has every other time she's tried.
]

...Huh. That's... a little odd.

[And a deeply aggrieved sigh, mostly to cover up what's changing gradually into concern, before this is directed to the journal] Hey.

If any of you have seen a scrawny kid with floppy grey hair and a constant smirk wandering around the city, I hope it wouldn't be too much of an imposition for me to ask you to tell him he missed dinner. And that he should pick up his damn phone too.

Thanks in advance.

[The journal opens to the sound of a glass of wine being poured. Crowley's ready to give the residents another one of his little observances on all their lives]

So, you all went to the corporate rodent land, I see. And you didn't even...

Crowley! Time to pay up!

[it was Faye, and she didn't knock. Knocking was something that other people did]

[There's a long suffering sigh]

Now? But I've only just got settled. I have a glass of wine and a comment about doing inapropriate things to people in animal suits and everything.

You can annoy people later. Come on.

[she was already dressed up and everything. There would be no way around this without some sort of violence befalling him]

...If I should die horribly, my final wish is for Damian to attend my funeral in a dress. A pink one. [That was dictated straight into the journal, before Crowley resigns himself to his fate and allows Faye to drag him out. Don’t expect him to reply to the journal anytime soon]

Great. As if this couldn't be more dull. Given that commotion on the streets was momentarily interesting, but I doubt it's every day a robot dinosaur attacks.

[There's a small 'oomf' as someone suddenly lands on the hard cement, where a chair used to be. There's a hushed] Ow.

[Not having her abilities is definitely a downside right about now, and she carefully pushes herself up and presses a hand to the still raw wound above her brow. The journal is given a slight glance, before she decides it's something Giles would probably read and thus something that was probably dragged on accident. Who knows, maybe it'll be useful? She picks it up and starts to head down the sidewalk looking for any sort of clue to where she is.

[It was surprising how quickly one could fall into a routine, even in the strangest of environments, and Ukitake was living proof of that (quite literally now, which made him chuckle) as he fell neatly into his assigned role as a teacher and librarian.

Working late as usual, doing his own research amongst the stacks of lovingly tended books, he finally spotted a text that had been eluding him for at least three hours at the back of a high shelf.

Climbing atop a table, he reached over...

Reaaaached...

EUREKA! He grasped the book in thumb and forefinger, pulling firmly. Which, unfortunately, made the entirely display wobble and collapse with a loud crash most unusual for the library. When the dust settled and the mountain of books came to rest, a soft groan could be heard through the journal.]

Aa. A little help, please?

About the Archive

"Paradisa Lost" is the archive of what the journals contained between December 1st, 2006 and January 10th, 2012. On that final day, Paradisa issued new journals, so that the residents could fill them up again. While there are still residents around who have old journals, we have chosen to preserve the old journals here for muns' reference and history.

"Lost" in the title refers to both the old journals that the residents once kept, and also to our move to Dreamwidth from the original Livejournal community, where Paradisa started. It is a fresh start for muns, as well as for the characters.
