They say you can measure people by their actions, you know. I've seen quite a bit of bravery all week and the ability for everyone to attempt to resume life. It's impressive.

Matter of fact, all of you are. I do hope that, even if there were moments of helplessness, in a situation such as that? I think doing all that you could to ensure the help and safety of others, even down to helping evacuating, you've done enough.

It feels good to be writing in my own journal, again. Not that there are many differences between each one, but I rather enjoy having mine, compared to someone else's.

But still, I'm rather irritated that Zuko's gone. I didn't want him hovering over me, of course, but I liked being able to keep him at arm's length. I think most people can understanding wanting to keep a very careful eye on their enemies, and knowing they are back at home is vexing. He doesn't stand a chance at home. Here, he always had someone to step in and interfere; at home, nothing will stop me from killing him outright.

Death can always be justified, of course. I'm sure every one of you could find a reason, if you tried hard enough.

It's one thing to know that the town was damaged - it's something else entirely to be down here to see it. Awful. Still, rebuilding seems a better way to pass the time than waiting around for something else to go wrong.

Oh - um, Garland Detective Agency Assistant Lady? There isn't much left of the town office, obviously, but I cleared away a lot of the rubble and made it safer to walk around. A lot of what's left is pretty badly burned, but there might be parts of books or notes or something else useful still there, if you want them.
