When’s the last time you heard a ---n o i s e--- like this?
It’s not a howl, it’s a scream, it’s a screech, it’s a noise that resonates with pain pain
pain.
It’s the cry of a
monster, and it repeats, echoes, tears through your bones because it’s not just a noise, it’s a cry, it’s a call, it’s a plea of despair, a plea for salvation and punishment.
( It’s a monster. )(Yeah, right. Monsters don’t plead.)
Pale eyes the color of glass, embedded in black, piercing, glaring, and the yellow glass encrusted across its eyes make it seem blind. (Where have you seen those eyes, that glass before?) Red-black fur, ivory claws, dripping fangs – it’s hideous, kill it,
kill it. Purge this place of one more bit of squalid filth.
But then again, you might not even have to. It’s already dying, because there’s a iron spike going through its paw, its shoulder, its chest – it’s dying, it’s bleeding, and maybe that’s why the way it’s howling is cracked and staggered and
pained. The collar of barbed wire digs into its neck, and it’s leaving a trail of red as it drags itself up up up
up with a purpose. It seems to want to go somewhere, because it won't stop, it just wants to go, up the stairs, past these wire fences, up to a place with the numbers 2-5-0-8. Why?
Maybe it’s waiting for something.
Maybe it wants to die there.
Maybe it’s apologizing.
Maybe it's repenting.
Maybe it--
