This has gone on far enough!

This morning I decided to bury Puck. Not being his friend, I wasn't really sure if it was my place but...well, there's a small gravestone in the garden by the rosebushes. For those of you who know him, you can visit his grave and pay your respects.

In the face of all this tragedy, I have a small bit of good news. My hand is completely healed--in fact, it's working much better than before! Thank you very much, Ino. And of course, thanks again to Katara for helping me to heal.

Not that I don't appreciate the gravity of the situation, what, with people going berserk, howls coming from the 13th floor, and [[ recorded gulp ]] various unexplained disappearances, but...

Didn't that one guy come back to life after he killed himself? And now he's off being feral? Ah... well, that would still be good reason to mourn. Five, six, nineteen feral returnees in a few weeks would be... uh... Undesireable. And also heartwarming.

In the meantime I've been stranded on the roof and rained on in what I swear was a personal rain cloud for the last three days I've been up absolutely nothing... on the roof with my eyes slammed shut... doing things like filing a will, not that I have anything to will to anyone... nothing helps the fact that I know this fear is illogical... totally in control except clinging to the apex as the rain slicks my support... calm as a raging sea... collected so close to myself it would be fetal position if I weren't clinging to the roof itself...

Anyone not lost in their grief willing to try a little trust exercise involving blindfolding me?

Hey, Dilan, you know... when I accused you of being a cop that time I was only joking, but now I'm kinda wishing it was true. Are there any police here? I think it'd make some people feel safer knowing. Certain... people. Not me.

Wow. But when all that, uh, dying happened, I felt like something was missing. We all lose stuff when we come here, apparently, and I think I know what I lost now! It's weird.

I need to actually leave my room for something to eat now, as scary as that sounds, but. Has anyone seen Tatsuki? I went looking for her when it happened, but I couldn't... [transcribed laughter] That stupid tomboy would go missing just when I want to find her!

Life is just a survival game... isn't it...

I hope no one else is still thinking of killing others for stupid reasons, like that big beast hunt thing... It might be as scared as you are and thinking only of survival... Or cursed. I've read a lot about people who have been changed into monsters. A lot. It's scary to think about how common it really is...

We condemn those who kill others as a food source, but should we be so critical? We do the same to plants and animals, and those animals do it to plants and other animals and so on... Is it really bad to kill for that kind of survival?
