Puppies are cute, but I'm actually glad I didn't end up with one. They're kind of high-maintenance, and taking them outside when you're on the higher floors would be kind of a pain. Still, I hope everyone who got one is enjoying their little surprise.
I'd need something simple, something I couldn't get too attached to. Like a fish. A goldfish. All you do is feed them and keep their water clean. Not too hard.
...You know, that doesn't sound like a bad idea, really.

It's hard enough to be on the 25th floor with one, but eventually I'll more than likely have to take him out of the room for a walk.

Best to be thankful that I got it as a puppy and not a full grown dog in this case.
