Puppies are cute, but I'm actually glad I didn't end up with one. They're kind of high-maintenance, and taking them outside when you're on the higher floors would be kind of a pain. Still, I hope everyone who got one is enjoying their little surprise.

I'd need something simple, something I couldn't get too attached to. Like a fish. A goldfish. All you do is feed them and keep their water clean. Not too hard.

...You know, that doesn't sound like a bad idea, really.

I always figured you for a cat person, but you'd probably do pretty good with a fish.

Oh yeah? Well, cats are okay. But goldfish... they're pretty easy to take care of.

Maybe I'll get a cat someday. The fish can be sort of... tester pets. If I don't kill them, then I'll be ready to move onto a cat.

A fish, huh? I'm sure there's a pet store in town you could get one from.

Like I told someone else, fish would sort of liven up my room a little bit. So hey, why not?

Goldfish aren't any fun, though.

It's still a nice touch of life in your room without the big mess, though.

Yeah, it'd be better than a plant, I guess.

The only bad thing about goldfish is that they smell pretty raunchy when they die.

Usually only if you don't change the water regularly. Goldfish aren't that bad, anyway.

Anyway, reading your comments up there, maybe I should get one too. I was just getting picked on for my "super boring" room as it is.

While there's an elevator to the lower floors, I'll have to agree.

That and there are people to worry about here, even if most of the threats aren't serious.

Plus, puppies might not react too well to an elevator.

Good point, it more than likely it would excite them.

It's hard enough to be on the 25th floor with one, but eventually I'll more than likely have to take him out of the room for a walk.

Oh, you have one? And you're all the way up on the 25th? Sounds like that puppy's got a lot of training in his future.

I imagine it would, best I could do is keep it from dehydrating with summer approaching.

Just make sure he has lots of water. Everything else, good luck.

Best to be thankful that I got it as a puppy and not a full grown dog in this case.
