What: It's a Wine Tasting at the Lux
When: Saturday Evening
Where: The Lux.
Sugarplum Fairies: PLENTY.
Notes: ANYONE is welcome. Prose or brackets. I'm just having Katherine start it off, but feel free to have your very own thread. This is a party-post of sorts. It's at the Lux and there are plenty of wines and platters of small bits of food that are meant to accentuate the flavor of the wine. Cheese, Chocolate, Fruits... etc.

The Lux isn't Katherine's first choice of social locations, but it does have the luxury of being somewhere that has been deemed as off-limits for the Salvatore brothers. She'd put the math together through the journals and from over-hearing conversations of employees and the ghosts. Such gossips. She'd already resolved to go to that Speed Dating thing, just trying to make some effort to figure out just who all was in this place and just how vulnerable some of them were.

For the moment, she's milling through the crowd, glass in hand, and keeping an eye on everyone. She's fully capable of slipping by most of them undetected. Knowing that her speed would easily put her out of anyone's line of sight if she didn't want to be seen. Tonight though, she wasn't planning on shying away from too many of them.

This, clearly, is Neal's endgame. He holds the kiss for as long as he can, before pulling back slowly and breaking the kiss to breathe.

When he pulls away there's a soft sound that comes from Jo. Yeah, he's really good at that and Jo's left hanging onto it a bit. There's even that soft haze on her features, the one where it takes her a bit to open her eyes and grin up at him.

"You are definitely trouble."

He smiles a bit at that, tucking her hair behind her ear. "It's something I pride myself on."

She hums a bit, smirking up at him, "Yep. Lots of trouble. If I didn't know any better, I'd try to steal you off to my room."

"And why isn't that included in knowing better?"

"Because technically, it'd be getting you to know me better - and I'm not sure you're ready for that."

"You don't think I can appreciate the challenge?"

"Oh, I'm pretty sure you love a challenge. You have that look in your eyes. Those amazing blue eyes."

She might be staring into them. A bit. Tiny bit.

He grins a bit as he leans closer. "So. Why not let me prove myself?"

She bites her bottom lip, watching those eyes of his, "You are so close to selling this. I thought you were supposed to be a good con-artist."

"I am," he said with a shrug. "This kind of thing shouldn't be a con." He only wanted her to be with him if she really wanted to be with him.

He was a romantic like that.

She watched him carefully, moving to stand in closer to him, because who wouldn't want to be close to him?

"No, it shouldn't be, but that doesn't change the flirtation behind trying to get someone interested. That's always going to have a bit of a con laced in there. You're going to present the best possible choice of a partner. Hide the fact that you floss while you shower or leave half an inch of milk in the container."

Even as she spoke, she still was inching in closer to him, her hand moving to rest to his chest.

"That is true," he nods. "But to some extent, it still has to be genuine. The feelings still need to be real. Every lie has a little element of truth, but some things don't need the lie."

"Very true," Jo agrees as her hand slides up against his chest and rests to his shoulder. Her thumb extends out a bit, brushing against his neck lightly.

"Well, the truth right now is that I wouldn't mind kissing you again."

"Who am I to argue with that?" he murmurs, before dipping his head and leaning in to kiss her again.

She reaches up a bit, meeting him in the kiss, letting her hands settle to his chest again. Honestly, she could stand to do this for a lot longer.

Neal will kiss her for as long as she likes. He'll even move his hand to rest just above the small of her back.

She sighs a bit into the kiss, relaxing a bit under his touch and sinking into it that much more. Honestly, she needs to reconsider her 'no' list a lot, because this feels like it needs a 'yes' put next to his column.

Possibly a hand against his column, too. Either way, she pulls from his mouth and glances at him, humming, "Yep. Very glad to have done that."

"Good," he says with a grin as he steps away from her. "But I shouldn't keep you from your guests."

She exhales a bit, the slightest of frowns appearing on her features, "Mmm... but with the closeness and your mouth."

With a sigh, she relents and moves away from him, "Don't think that I'm not going to remember that, Caffrey."

"I hope you do," he grins, before going to pick up his glass of wine again. "I don't intend kisses like that to be forgettable."

She lifts an eyebrow, directing a bit of sass toward him, "And you think I didn't partake in the making that memorable part? That wasn't all you, Neal."

He shrugs. "It does take two to tango. I just want to make sure it's noted that I put forth my best effort."

"Well, I appreciated your best effort and also put forth my valiant efforts as well."

She's teasing, but honestly, if there's ever another time where the castle wants her to make out with people, she's just going to knock on his door and save the castle the time.

"And I appreciate that as well," he grins, before settling on the stool behind him. "Maybe we'll get to do it again sometime."
