Where: The Gardens of Château de Bagatelle
What: A Walking Tour of the Gardens - which are all decorated for Christmas! (says me!)
NOTE: Feel free to just be visiting Katherine, she'll be dressed for the era when the Gardens were first installed in 1777. Feel free to also note the FAIRIES that are floating around the gardens for added light and a whimsical element. Feel free to be part of any of the tours. Day, Afternoon, or Evening. Come in at the end of the tour, wander the gardens and let Katherine run into you. WHATEVER YOU WANT. I'm flexible.

Katherine actually appreciates the garden for what it's worth. The time and effort that had gone into it to maintain its appearance for all those years. In a way, she finds comfort in something that keeps its beauty from year to year. As she leads the tour group through the rows of flowers and well-manicured hedges, she smiles.

"There were at least eight-hundred workers employed for the upkeep of the Château, not all of them in the gardens, but with the rolling acreage, there was definitely no race to see who would be the one to take care of the lawns."

Continuing through the rows, she points out a few plants noting their ability to still show bold colors even in the colder climates.

"Most of the formal gardens were linked to the outlying property pieces through underground tunnels, and in time the smaller space was expanded to create a much larger piece of landscaping around them. Designed by Scottish garden-designer Thomas Blaikie, the naturalistic style was dotted with sham ruins, an obelisk, a pagoda, primitive hermits' huts and grottoes. If you'll follow me, we'll head to view the grottoes next."

Katherine takes her dress in her hands, helping to carry the weight of the full skirt as she moves to continue toward the rest of the tour. No doubt, she's recited most of these lines so many times by now that they're either memorized or simply a chore. Regardless, she's grateful that this is her job and not something else.

Harmony has been trying to teach Cupid the ways of regular relationships. Of course, it doesn't help that every year around this time, a plethora of people are macking on each other in the hallways, stairwells, city, and everywhere else because the castle thinks that it's clever. She's still trying though and in her efforts she's come up with Speed Dating. It's less... buy a date and more find a date... or a good conversation.

All morning she's been trying to make sure everyone is prepared. She offered help for outfits and she even found some actual pants and a vest for Cupid. He looks dashing. Slightly uncomfortable, but still - dashing.

She already spent all morning printing and laminating the dater cards so that she could bind them together to hand out to everyone when they came into the place. It would give everyone a little bit to talk about and hopefully it would make their dates start out with some easy questions.

When everything is ready, Harmony goes to open the door and hopes to see people filing in.

What: It's a Wine Tasting at the Lux

Where: The Lux.

Notes: ANYONE is welcome. Prose or brackets. I'm just having Katherine start it off, but feel free to have your very own thread. This is a party-post of sorts. It's at the Lux and there are plenty of wines and platters of small bits of food that are meant to accentuate the flavor of the wine. Cheese, Chocolate, Fruits... etc.

The Lux isn't Katherine's first choice of social locations, but it does have the luxury of being somewhere that has been deemed as off-limits for the Salvatore brothers. She'd put the math together through the journals and from over-hearing conversations of employees and the ghosts. Such gossips. She'd already resolved to go to that Speed Dating thing, just trying to make some effort to figure out just who all was in this place and just how vulnerable some of them were.

For the moment, she's milling through the crowd, glass in hand, and keeping an eye on everyone. She's fully capable of slipping by most of them undetected. Knowing that her speed would easily put her out of anyone's line of sight if she didn't want to be seen. Tonight though, she wasn't planning on shying away from too many of them.

Who: Katherine and Morgana, Lilah, and Tess.
Where: Locations in the City. Katherine is getting a feel for the area.
When: Saturday afternoon.

For the most part Katherine was very good at keeping her presence a secret. She spent countless years hiding from people who would have been interested in finding her, either for their own personal needs or to kill her. The drawback to the castle was that it seemed everyone knew too much about everyone else. It didn't bode well for Katherine and when Alaric just vanished, she assumed that things would just get more complicated for her. Not having a roommate who was easy to compel meant she had to make other arrangements for her needs.

Plus, Stefan seemed to think he could sort out whatever nefarious plan she was in the midst of. It was really irritating that he automatically assumed she was up to something when she had only started to get her feet wet with the city and its surroundings. She'd sort something out eventually, but for now she was just relieved to be in a place where Klaus couldn't find her.

The city was nice. It reminded her of a simpler time, but it also reminded her of the fact that she is very glad to have survived through all of this to enjoy the things that the current time has to offer her.

For the moment, Katherine was just wandering the city, stopping in the various stores and trying to see what exactly was of any interest, if any, to her and what she could do with it.

[For the most part she is being genuine, but there is a slight ulterior motive here. Just one that no one will be able to devise from this small request.]

[Over the journal, there’s the soft sound of fingernails tapping against the page briefly then it stops. The voice might sound familiar to anyone that has spoken with Elena, but there’s a less than enthused tone to her words. They’re flat, just like she’s reading off a list of things to do today.]

Castle. Wishes. Kidnapped. Losses. No escape. Random attempts to annoy and irritate everyone that lives here.

Kitchen. Clinic. Bars a plenty and a city.

Oh, and the added joy of timeline confusion and the possibility of sharing your face with someone else. [There’s a soft bit of amusement that comes through over the journal with that last remark.]

I think I’m properly introduced to this castle. I guess now, I just have to wait for you all to be properly introduced to me.
