What: It's a Wine Tasting at the Lux
When: Saturday Evening
Where: The Lux.
Sugarplum Fairies: PLENTY.
Notes: ANYONE is welcome. Prose or brackets. I'm just having Katherine start it off, but feel free to have your very own thread. This is a party-post of sorts. It's at the Lux and there are plenty of wines and platters of small bits of food that are meant to accentuate the flavor of the wine. Cheese, Chocolate, Fruits... etc.

The Lux isn't Katherine's first choice of social locations, but it does have the luxury of being somewhere that has been deemed as off-limits for the Salvatore brothers. She'd put the math together through the journals and from over-hearing conversations of employees and the ghosts. Such gossips. She'd already resolved to go to that Speed Dating thing, just trying to make some effort to figure out just who all was in this place and just how vulnerable some of them were.

For the moment, she's milling through the crowd, glass in hand, and keeping an eye on everyone. She's fully capable of slipping by most of them undetected. Knowing that her speed would easily put her out of anyone's line of sight if she didn't want to be seen. Tonight though, she wasn't planning on shying away from too many of them.

Lilah smiles in return at Katherine. After meeting both of the dopplegangers, it seemed easier to discern which was which. Katherine carried herself with a lot more confidence, for one thing.

"I am," She replied with a nod. "Yourself?"

"There's alcohol and it seems love is in the air. I haven't seen people this uncomfortable in a closed environment in a while."

Really, it is amusing to see just how all of this pans out, but she's not going to hide away in her room just to avoid a few kisses. If people end up near her, then that's just what she'll handle.

"It's almost a party."

"It is rather amusing to watch so many people watch their backs, isn't it?" Lilah mused with a grin. She had been affected a couple of times herself already, but it didn't seem like any reason to hide. Compared to other things the castle had done, kissing wasn't that bad. And sometimes it was fun to watch whoever got caught up in it with her squirm.

"Almost."

Katherine smirks, glancing to Lilah, "What do you think would push it into that final steps toward a party?"

"I imagine once some of those faeries arrive and send people into a frenzy it'll have done the job for us," Lilah mused with a grin.

Katherine smirked, glancing around the place, "They're around. I've seen them. Narrowly avoided them a few times, but there are a few here I wouldn't mind invading the personal space of."

She took a moment to locate Neal Caffrey, pointing him out to Lilah, "He's just delightful."

Lilah takes in the man Katherine pointed out, nodding in approval. "I met him for the first time earlier tonight. He certainly seemed like charming company, if nothing else."

"Yes, charming company indeed." Katherine wasn't closing her options, but she definitely was fond of dark hair and light eyes. Just don't tell Damon.

She moves to pour another glass of wine from a nearby bottle. "Shall I?" Katherine offers to Lilah with the bottle tilted toward the other woman's glass.

Lilah nodded, holding her glass out for the other woman to refill. "Thank you."

Not that she really meant the words. She rarely did. But it was the thing most people said in these sort of situations.

Katherine also wasn't one for expressing gratitude, so she simply nodded in response. With both glasses full once more, Katherine returned her eyes to the room.

Of course, with that distraction, she wasn't aware of the fairy making its away toward the pair of them.

Lilah hadn't noticed them either. Not at first. But then she had begun to feel the familiar tug that happened whenever they were around and soon enough, she looked up and saw one of the fairies hovering above them.

"I suppose it's our turn now."

The fairy seemed to almost smirk at Katherine when she glanced up at it, shaking the gold dust all over the two of them. There was a hint of sway to Katherine as she closed the distance between the two of them. Her wine glass, held carefully, is still in hand and resting to the small of Lilah's back as the kiss begins.

It's soft, as anyone would imagine a kiss between two women who put a lot of care into their appearance. Her free hand brushing against Lilah's cheek.

The cool glass against her neck sends a slight shiver down Lilah's back. All things considered, there were far worse people she could be kissing than Katherine.

The hand not holding her own glass of wine came up to tangle itself in Katherine's hair for the moment as the gentle kiss began to deepen.

Her hand easily winds around the other woman's waist, tugging her in closer and tipping her head to allow that kiss to deepen. It's a mix of warmth and wine that presses against Katherine's tongue and it's rather enticing.

It's not a bad kiss, quite the opposite in fact. She could tell the other woman was like herself, someone who had practiced kissing until it was almost like an art. Like a weapon. Something that could be just as dangerous as a knife, when wielded correctly.

Her hand remained in the other's hair, holding her there as the deeply passionate kiss continued.

Katherine was intent on keeping the kiss until Lilah broke it. Even if the magic from the fairy had faded away, there wasn't any way she was going to give in so easily as to not enjoy the kiss.

Besides, she had a feeling this closeness was pushing Lilah toward being an ally more than just a conversational partner.

Lilah was in no rush to break away from the kiss just yet. She was enjoying herself. And Katherine seemed to be as well, which meant that they could be working to something closer than just acquaintances. And without Wolfram and Hart here, Lilah knew she needed allies where she could take them.

But finally the need to breath kicked in and she created distance between them in order to do so. Just enough.

When Lilah pulled away, Katherine smiled up at her, the toe of her foot, set on the tip, letting her heel rock a bit back and forth. Her fingers moved to thread through Lilah's hair softly.

"Quite the experience."

Lilah grinned in agreement with the other woman. "I would say so." It had been rather pleasant, over all. And even afterwards it didn't feel particularly awkward or strained.

Exhaling, Katherine moved to adjust Lilah's hair a bit, smirking up at her. "Whoever you intend to do that with again, will be a very lucky person."

Lilah returned the other woman's smirk with one of her own. "Likewise." Of course, at the moment she didn't have anyone she actually intended on kissing, but that was merely a detail.

"Shall we leave conversation for another time and simply let the evening end with that?"

"We shall. Might as well end things on such a pleasant note."

"Then, until we meet again."

And Katherine will smile and then turn to go join someone else.
