Cue Rocky Montage
Who: Hesam (
hesam_bb), People That Agreed To Train Him. Also open to all who might be passing by or acknowledge he's looking for some butt-kicking classes.
What: Hesam wanting to learn more self-defense to avoid almost being killed again.
When: After his request for training - the exact time and day is up to everyone else's schedule
Where: The gym, outside, anywhere with space to practice fighting skillz
Rating: not rated yet
Notes: Both actionspam & 3rd POV welcome
Hesam felt a lot better after making the first step of asking for help. He was pretty nervous about inviting people to potentially kick him around but he was sick of feeling so outmatched. Especially with the memory of almost dying stuck on a loop in his head. The gun lessons from Zoe had helped but he couldn't rely on a gun to be in reach at all times.
If he got attacked in the clinic again, there wouldn't be a gun to save him. He couldn't keep depending on his super powered friends to help either.
So, time to learn how to at least put up a fight. He knew he looked like he hadn't slept for a while and possibly not strong enough to start but he was sure after a few rounds and lessons he would be more confident. Being less paranoid would help the non-sleeping thing too.
He stood waiting for his new teacher to meet him at the place they agreed to and tried not to look too twitchy.

/first time doing this. :X
Still, he walks in through the doors, dressed in a grey tracksuit. There was no way he was going to work out in one of his suits...

"Hey, I'm Hesam - you one of the people I spoke to about training?"

"So how do you wanna start? A warm up?"

And Cole's hand instantly tightens over Hesam's, and he pulls back, aiming to pull the man down to the ground. He's very strong for his size, due to his demonic side.
If successful, he'll smirk down. "Lesson number 1, don't trust anyone that you think may attack you."
no subject
"Lesson number one could have just been 'don't trust anyone'," he replies dryly. "I let you do that. Totally a warm up. Testing you. That sort of thing."

Monday morning bright and early at 0800
She pulls on her sweatshirt and decides to do a few cooldown stretches while waiting for Hesam.]

Hey, I'm Hesam, here for some self-defense teachings.

Agent Carolina, here to teach some self-defense.
no subject
Agent, huh? We talking secret-agent or something else?

[Stepping back a little.] Ready to get started?
no subject
Yeah, more than I'll ever be.

She'd had years of practice, after all, and she'd never taught anyone anything like this, before... well... except for that one time with Paige... and that didn't end well. She sighed, deciding to just relax, go with it and hope for the best.

Not that he was interested. Well, not that he intends to be interested in anyone. Not that he was checking her out while she was stretching.
He shook his head at himself and rubbed the back of his neck in his usual habit, fingers glancing across the area that thankfully didn't even scar as evidence. It does a good job at getting his brain back on task too.
"So, do I gotta call you sensei or something?"
no subject
"Only if you really want to." She laughed. She straightened up and shot Hesam a grin. At the very least, she was getting him out of his room for a little while and doing something instead of just moping around.
She gestured him over. "Are you ready for this?

In all honesty, he knows he isn't back to his full strength yet. He probably should have waited longer but he needs to learn these moves as soon as possible.
no subject
"Think of this as lesson number one. Never underestimate or be distracted by your opponent. No matter what, you've got to stay focused. Now. Have you ever had any kind of training or anything? Ever gotten in a fight? If so, then we have something we can build on. If not, that's okay, too. What I think I'll do, though, is teach you more defensive maneuvers than offensive. They're easier to learn and would help you more in the long run."
no subject
He rolls his shoulders and tries to get a good defensive stance going. "I don't think fighting as a teenager really counts and that's the only real fighting experience I've had."
He nods at the rest of what she says. "You're the sensei, sensei."

Besides, the accent was kind of hard to forget too.
"Chase?" He can't help the grin. "Dude, you're back?"

He's so buzzed someone came back though, he might be bouncing a little on his feet. Just slightly. He's definitely babbling. "I'm a paramedic back home," he offers helpfully. "So you'll only see me in the clinic if I got nothing else on. I live on the same floor though. Can't believe I missed you coming back. You settled in okay?"
no subject
"You waiting for someone?"
no subject
"Uh, yeah. I asked a few people to teach me some self-defense moves." He isn't sure if he wants to admit to Chase he got attacked, especially if this guy doesn't remember him.
"Thought it would be a good side thing to know around here."
