Who: It's Thanksgiving! ANYONE WHO WANTS FOOD!
Where: The Lux & Paradisa Perk in the lobby
What: Food. Too much of it.
When: Thanksgiving. All Day.
Notes: Threadjacking is a-okay! 3rd person and [spam] are welcome! Also this is a continuation of the Friend Loss.

The Coffee Shop in the lobby is fully decorated for the season. Paper fold-out turkeys and browns and orange colors are streamed around. The coffee flavors for the day have a nice Pumpkin Spice or feel free to pick out something more warm cinnamon-scented. The Lux has a myriad of lovely flavors swimming around and out the doors. Turkey, potatoes (four kinds), tofurkey for her vegetarian friend(s), and everything that you could possibly dream to have for Thanksgiving is here. Stuffing, pies, casseroles -- Neal and Jo outdid themselves and it's all cooked and prepared by hand. No Ghosts were used in the preparation of this meal.

Jo is dressed for the holiday and mostly running around the kitchen bossing people around. There might have been a moment where she was clapping and shouting at all of her helpers to "Move it! Move it!"

It'll all be worth it in the end.

Everyone will be at her place and she'll be the host and it'll all be perfect.

Perfect.

It'll be perfect or she's going to kill someone. Possibly.

What: Gwaine returns after the expedition. Julia is upset. Clearly.

Notes: Friends Loss Continues.

[Apparently, when you're raised in a military-like compound and not exposed to pop-culture while you grow up -- you miss out on a lot of things. Max has recently realized that she doesn't exactly know all of the movies that Jo and Julia grew up loving. We'll skip over the part where Jo and Julia know all the words to Lawfully Pretty and skip right to where they're trying to explain to Max that hard work does pay off and that the core message is really about accepting you for yourself, and that the sequel deals with a side of animal rights. Which, they figure Max will appreciate.]

We can watch the next one, too. [You know, in case Gwaine isn't back yet. She glances to the boys, because she is not putting in Die With Difficulty again. This is supposed to be making Julia feel better.]

I know this castle's magic but sometimes if you're sick, you're sick and no amount of waiting around is going to cure that. If you have a fever, a cold, a cough, I suggest you drop by the clinic. We're not going to poke you with a needle and if you can't swallow a pill, I can offer alternative ways for you to take your medicine. If you hate doctors and want to avoid seeing us, I hope you at least have the common sense to stay indoors and get lots of rest. If you spread your germs to your roommates, don't complain if they curse at you because they will curse at you. If you're not a doctor, but think you can self-diagnose and fix yourself, and if you harm yourself more than fix yourself, don't get insulted when I yell at you for being an idiot.

I am available for consultations on weekdays and every other weekend. I am, however, unavailable after 10PM unless it's an emergency. And by emergency, I mean, heart attacks, strokes, sudden blindness, swollen legs, high fevers. Don't expect me to come running to you at midnight to fix a runny nose. Also, if you or anyone you know experiences a bad allergic reaction, call me immediately. If you don't already have an EpiPen with you at all times, come get one at the clinic. This one strikes close to home.

Tuesdays remind him of Cameron. lovely woman. beautiful, intelligent, self-righteous, stubborn... incredibly stubborn. his ex wife. the woman who walked out on him. she's the person he's supposed to want to hate. but he can't do that. he still wants her.

[chase and -not his dog but he named it, scruffy- is downstairs at the lobby. this activity he's reluctantly partaking in is called walking the dog. this means you're free to bother him and notice, if you know him from before, that he looks different, what with the five o'clock shadow and the not so shiny blond hair. he might or might not remember you. after all, it's been three years.

About the Archive

"Paradisa Lost" is the archive of what the journals contained between December 1st, 2006 and January 10th, 2012. On that final day, Paradisa issued new journals, so that the residents could fill them up again. While there are still residents around who have old journals, we have chosen to preserve the old journals here for muns' reference and history.

"Lost" in the title refers to both the old journals that the residents once kept, and also to our move to Dreamwidth from the original Livejournal community, where Paradisa started. It is a fresh start for muns, as well as for the characters.
