Who: Vivian Volkoff and YOU (via this post)
What: Horse riding, meeting new people.
When: 23rd September
Where: At the stables and the castle grounds
Rating: None.
Vivian was expecting a few people to turn up this afternoon at the stables so she had spent most of the morning preparing everything and getting the place ready. She was changed into her riding gear and was standing by Oklahoma Rain's stall, brushing his mane. The other horses were already taken care of before so Vivian didn't have to worry about them.
She found herself to be looking forward to this because it meant that she could get to know some more people and hopefully gain a few friends out of it. More importantly, it could also lead to Vivian finding a few riding partners because while she enjoyed taking her horse out by herself, having company was never a bad thing.

It made Vivian relaxed and happy; she wasn't going to give that up.

She gestured to a clearing up ahead of them. "Ready for some more exploration?"

He nodded, turning Svitana in that direction.
"Certainly, though I think a more sedate pace will do for this."

She instructed her horse to go into a slow trot, heading towards the clearing she gestured to.
"So, what else can you tell me about yourself, Ashura?" Vivian asked after a few moments.
no subject
"Well, what might you wish to know, Vivian?"
no subject
"Where you grew up, family life. Things like that. As long as you don't deem it to be too personal."

"I grew up in a land called Shurano. It is equated best with Earthen rain forest, and houses a large river and many trees. The people were most farmers and fishers, and we relied on the forest for home, food, and protection. As for my family - I saw much of my mother in my early years and as much time as my father could spare. Running a country and a war unfortunately did not leave much time for him to spend with us, though what time we did get with him I remember fondly and dearly."

She thought of her own father briefly and how he had left her with so many unanswered questions.

He shook his head sadly and Svitana snorted, as if sensing his rider's suddenly sadness.

Pulling her horse to a stop, Vivian looked over at him.

"It is fine. I have long learned to cope with their loss, but like any son I miss them at times. Do not worry," he assured her.

"Let's just go on with our travels, yes?"
no subject
"I miss the forests too," he murmured. "I mean, ones that do not robe me of my powers."
no subject
"What kind of powers do you have normally, Ashura?"

He holds his hand towards her, fingers cupped, and without sound or warning a bit of fire flickers to life in his palm, merrily eating at the air around his palm, and is silent, since there is nothing for it feed on besides the air.

Then she smiles widely. "That's incredible. Really."
