Where: At the stables and the castle grounds

Vivian was expecting a few people to turn up this afternoon at the stables so she had spent most of the morning preparing everything and getting the place ready. She was changed into her riding gear and was standing by Oklahoma Rain's stall, brushing his mane. The other horses were already taken care of before so Vivian didn't have to worry about them.

She found herself to be looking forward to this because it meant that she could get to know some more people and hopefully gain a few friends out of it. More importantly, it could also lead to Vivian finding a few riding partners because while she enjoyed taking her horse out by herself, having company was never a bad thing.

Vivian glanced over at him, catching his eyes and smiled in return. This was definitely a lot more fun than before. Then she encouraged her steed to go faster, creating a bigger distance between them.

Ashura shook his head and clucked, Svitana lengthening his stride and surging forward, snorting heavily through his nose as he came up on Oklahoma again.

Vivian glanced behind herself briefly and saw them both gaining on her. She was still very impressed with Ashura's riding skills and the speed of his mount.

"Nice to see you again," she called over, laughing lightly.

"You will not be ride of my so easy!" she called laughing as he drew even again, the great beast he rose snorting loudly as he took in great lungfuls of air.

"I'm counting on it," Vivian said in return, slowing down a little to give her and the horse a bit of a break. It probably wouldn't be long until they would pick up the speed and go fast again.

Ashura matches her pace, Svitana seeming to toss his head and protesting this, but doing as he was commanded without much of a fight despite the head toss.

He glanced back the way they had come and then back forward.

"We should not go to much further, I think."

Vivian nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I think we should probably head back soon. We've had a good run so far." She didn't really want to overwork her horse, not Svitana either. Apart from that, Vivian was getting a little bit hungry and tired herself.

"Or maybe now?" She added, glancing over at Ashura.

"That works," he nodded, glancing forward again.

"If you ride alone, be wary of the forests. You might cross into the dead zone by mistake and there are... things there you would not like to meet."

He turns Svitana back the way they had come, the beast performing an excellent turn on its right hind leg.

"I heard about the dead zone but of course I would never want to venture into it unknowingly. Thank you for the warning."

She smiled a little before turning her horse around and heading back towards the stables again.

He nodded. "As I said, there are... things there. Even the veterans here are wary of it, even in groups."

"I don't want to know," Vivian said, still focused on getting back to where they started. "Might freak myself out a little if I did."

"Probably best," he chuckled as they headed back together in the crisp morning.
