dragon butt-whooping

What: Getting Jade's talismans back from evil dragon-dude (AKA Deathwing).

Where: Somewhere outside the castle.

Jade was sitting on a bench outside the castle, swinging her legs back and forth and whistling innocently so to appear as if she wasn't planning on attacking a mean old dragon anytime in the near future. She was waiting for the rest of her team to show up so they could carry out the plan--create a distraction and then charge in for some major butt kicking. Excitment and anticipation were bubbling inside her. This was her first mission without Jackie. This was her chance to prove that she really could be a hero like her uncle! She crossed her fingers hoping that nothing would go wrong...

Jade scrunches up her nose and counts on her fingers. "Six? Seven?"

And Natsuki's here, looking entirely unhappy. She doesn't really want to get involved, but she'd feel bad if the crazy kid got killed just because she was feeling lazy.

Well this is an entusiastic bunch, Jade thinks, looking around the group. At least they're here...

She briefly wonders if Krasus is going to show up-- he didn't seem to like her strategy very much. She squeezes the talismans in her pocket for reassurance, even though they don't work. Is Jade having second thoughts? No, she's got this under countrol...

"Hi!" she greets Natsuki with a cheerful smile.

Jade gets a bemused glance and a tentative smile; enthusiastic greetings are still kinda weird. And she really doesn't know what to make of Aradia's costume, but at least she doesn't know the name of it. Thank god for small mercies.

"No idea. Who else is as bored and suicidal as we are?"

Better a little late than never? Nudge hurries up to the rag-tag group, not really seeing any faces she recognised, other than Jade's. She didn't know how this was going to turn out, but she really wanted to help Jade get back her stuff. She did tell that Krasus guy she wouldn't get involved, but... a promise was a promise, after all. And with all these people here... maybe this would work out fine.

She adjusts her jacket, making sure her wings aren't visible, and walks over to Jade.

"Hey, everyone."

Harley's counting on her fingers. "-five, six. Is this everyone?"

"Yep, that's it!" Jade climbs up on the bench to address them (which doesn't really make her taller that most of the group...)

"Okay let's get down to business. Mission one--" she holds up one finger in front of her for emphasis. "--Find evil dragon-dude." She puts up anothing finger, "Mission two: charge him with everything you've got. When he goes to use the talismans on us, that's when I go all Jackie Chan kung fu on his but and take them." She pauses for a minute, thinking of mission three... "OH! Mission three: run away!"

"Question!"

Harley's hand shoots into the air.

"About Mission Three. Where do we run away to? There a rendezvous point? Personally, I don't feel like leading an angry dragon to my room."

Nudge glances to the side.

"Iiiiii'm gonna second that question. We gotta make sure we all get out okay. Also... about mission two. Maaaaybe it'll be better to be a little bit sneakier about it? If he's a dragon, he can breathe fire, and we're all pretty burnable."

She manages to refrain from facepalming, but it was pretty hard, to be honest. This is why she prefers to work alone.

"By the way, I've seen him turn into a cat. A weird looking one with bumps on its head. And I've got a question for you." she says, turning to Jade. "What talismans did he take from you?"

"Dragon and rabbit. So he can throw fire, and run really fast." She considers the groups concerns. "Well, we can go back to the whole creating a distraction thing. Who wants to be a distraction?"

((ooc: ok AIM chatroom sounds good. we can figure out posting order etc there. Can everyone be online later tonight? I have my last final tomorrow so I need to go to bed by 1am (EST)...))

"How about we use the distraction as bait instead, and lure him into a trap? Even if we don't have bombs or anything," she pauses, looking around and hoping one of the people there would say otherwise, "we can at least have it at a place of our choosing."

A wide open space for running away dodging attacks would be nice. And of course she's not thinking of the innocent bystanders hanging around, just in case they happen to find the dragon-cat lounging about on the front steps or something.

[ The bold group of idiots morons with a death wish future hood ornaments adventurers will not have to search far for the dragon in question; he's currently slumbing in clear sight by the castle gates. His guard is currently down, so a surprise attack is wise! ]

It's an annoyed Harley that's running up behind him. She smacks him upside the head.

"Oy! Who said you could go first?!"

[resists the urge to facepalm. She's never going to speak to you idiots ever again, if they all live through this.

Summons a pair of pistols and starts running for Deathwing's blindside. Summoning Duran crosses her mind, but the importance of keeping him a secret takes precedence, especially with all these people (idiots) here.]

[Jade is a tad frustrated at the fact that ONCE AGAIN she has been left behind. Everyone just treats her like a little kid who can't do anything. Well, she's about to prove them wrong.

She sprints alongside Natsuki.]

Hey dragon-dude, take THIS. [And takes a flying leap at Deathwing, aiming a kick at him.]

Holy... crap? Nudge wasn't quite expecting things to go this fast.

"Ja-!"

She cuts herself off. Talking at this point probably won't do any good. She falls into a battle stance, alert, and ready to react once the dragon guy gets up. She keeps an close eye on Jade.

[ Akira: Well, that's one way to wake a dragon up. Deathwing surges to consciousness with a start, snorting at the sudden pain in his nose. With a stretch, he rises to full height, leering at being surrounded. ]

So this is your pathetic attempt at an assault? Very well, then. I accept your challenge!

[ Natsuki: Deathwing sees you there, rest assured, but you're being left alone for now. That armor of his looking intimidating... perhaps you should search for gaps and aim appropriately.

Jade: Sorry, Jade, but Deathwing is armored to the teeth. Your foot connects soundly, but doesn't seem to do very much. Deathwing, quite literally, shrugs you off. ]
