What: Getting Jade's talismans back from evil dragon-dude (AKA Deathwing).
When: Today?
Where: Somewhere outside the castle.
Rating: PG?

Jade was sitting on a bench outside the castle, swinging her legs back and forth and whistling innocently so to appear as if she wasn't planning on attacking a mean old dragon anytime in the near future. She was waiting for the rest of her team to show up so they could carry out the plan--create a distraction and then charge in for some major butt kicking. Excitment and anticipation were bubbling inside her. This was her first mission without Jackie. This was her chance to prove that she really could be a hero like her uncle! She crossed her fingers hoping that nothing would go wrong...

It's an annoyed Harley that's running up behind him. She smacks him upside the head.

"Oy! Who said you could go first?!"

[resists the urge to facepalm. She's never going to speak to you idiots ever again, if they all live through this.

Summons a pair of pistols and starts running for Deathwing's blindside. Summoning Duran crosses her mind, but the importance of keeping him a secret takes precedence, especially with all these people (idiots) here.]

[Jade is a tad frustrated at the fact that ONCE AGAIN she has been left behind. Everyone just treats her like a little kid who can't do anything. Well, she's about to prove them wrong.

She sprints alongside Natsuki.]

Hey dragon-dude, take THIS. [And takes a flying leap at Deathwing, aiming a kick at him.]

Holy... crap? Nudge wasn't quite expecting things to go this fast.

"Ja-!"

She cuts herself off. Talking at this point probably won't do any good. She falls into a battle stance, alert, and ready to react once the dragon guy gets up. She keeps an close eye on Jade.

[ Akira: Well, that's one way to wake a dragon up. Deathwing surges to consciousness with a start, snorting at the sudden pain in his nose. With a stretch, he rises to full height, leering at being surrounded. ]

So this is your pathetic attempt at an assault? Very well, then. I accept your challenge!

[ Natsuki: Deathwing sees you there, rest assured, but you're being left alone for now. That armor of his looking intimidating... perhaps you should search for gaps and aim appropriately.

Jade: Sorry, Jade, but Deathwing is armored to the teeth. Your foot connects soundly, but doesn't seem to do very much. Deathwing, quite literally, shrugs you off. ]

[ A pillar of flame engulfs Deathwing, and his human form emerges. He brandishes his mace, looking ready to attack! You've engaged him! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xj90Vcq2Kic) ]

I hardly need my full power to deal with you whelps. Come! Break your blades against me, and meet your end!

[ With a wave of his hand, a burst of towering fire encircles all of you. It seems you are trapped now. There's no escape from here on out.

He heaves his flaming weapon up, and swings at Akira! ]

"Whoa!"

Years of gymnastics and running across Gotham's rooftops allowed her to keep her balance when Akira was suddenly ripped away from in front of her. She backflips away. Picking up a rock that would have made a man struggle under its weight, she hurls it at Deathwing.

"Batter up!"

[attempts to keep an eye on Jade while sending some nice ice-type bullets over to Deathwing. Eyes are a bit wide as she watches Akira take the attack, but hey. At least it seems like he can take the heat. ~~/shot~~]

[Jade lands hard on her butt. She sits stunned for a moment, then springs up, ready to jump back in. Then she remembers she will has the remaining three talismans in her pocket. She calls Nudge over, hoping that she'll actually be willing to try them.]

Nudge is not enthused about being "trapped" in a ring of fire; it reminds her way too much of the School. Her wings flex against her back, but she doesn't take them out yet. She's still got a bad feeling about this, but at least these guys all seem like they have some kind of power or strenght to help them out. She glances uneasily at Akira, but forces herself to focus on the dragon at hand.

She's sticking close to Jade, so she's already moving closer when Jade bounces back. Remembering what she'd been suggesting the last time, Nudge takes a guess, putting a hand on the shorter girl's shoulder.

"Got those talismans again?"

[ Akira: Deathwing seems surprised at your regenerative capabilities. You're able to seize the weapon from him in that moment of shock, but it soon melts to magma in your hands! Ouch! Deathwing whirls around, no longer focused on you. Apparently you're being saved for last.

Harley: The boulder connects! While it shatters against his armor, a crack soon appears, and Deathwing staggers back. Deathwing is vulnerable!

Natsuki: A majority of the bullets are deflected, but a few nail him right in the head. The bullets manage to stun Deathwing! Now is the time to strike! ]

"Yep." She looks warily at Deathwing, and then turns to Nudge, trying to keep the talismans out of the dragon's sight. "Okay, hold on to this one. It's for immortality." She hands Nudge the dog talisman. "And, um, you can already fly, so the rooster won't help you. But this one will turn him into whatever you want." She giggles a little, "I suggest a guinea pig!"

Nudge nods, taking the talismans discreetly. What did Jade say the last time...? Just point and say the words. Sounds simple enough!

"Gotcha. Thanks. I hope this works..."

She moves away from Jade just a bit, and tries to get a clear line to Deathwing. When she's sure she won't hit any of these other guys, she takes aim with the dog talisman. It actually feels pretty awesome to yell,

"Guinea pig!!"

[ Deathwing shakes the stupor from his vision, regaining posture. Deathwing has recovered!

Jade: Deathwing spies the talismans, and begins making a beeline for you! Deathwing is now focused on Jade.

Nudge: Unfortunately for Deathwing, he isn't expecting what occurs next: his armored form shrinks into that of a guinea pig! Deathwing has been polymorphed. The floored look on his face is no doubt priceless... ]

[ ...but the spell doesn't last for long. Deathwing shifts back to human form, and looks furious! If you get hit now, it's going to hurt a lot more than before! ]

Insects! I'll crush you from below!

[ Deathwing retreats a distance, throwing his arm upward. Cracks appear beneath everyone's feet, spikes of earth soon jutting from them! If you don't get out the way quickly, you'll be gutted! ]

One jagged piece of earth manages to cut a little close for comfort. Her costume is now ripped and there's a thin line of red bubbling up from the broken skin.

"Hey! This is my good costume!"

She flips around a second spike and kicks it at its base. It splits off and she grabs the broken end. With an enraged cry, she charges in, aiming her new weapon at the dragon's ugly face.

[There might have been a barely restrained giggle at the guinea pig form, but that's quickly cut short as the spikes come rushing up. She barely dodges out of reflex, but the act of jumping backward has her cracking her head on a spike behind her.

A hiss of pain, and she's trying to get her bearings (i.e. avoid more giant spikes while trying to keep an eye on the ~~guinea-~~ dragon dude.).

muttermutter] And they were complaining about being thickheaded.

Jade's eyes widen in terror. This is way scarier than anything Shendu ever did! Instincts tell her to RUN THE HECK AWAY, so that's what she attempts to do, nimbly dodging the spikes. She thinks she's going to make it when suddenly a spike shoots up right in front of her, which throws her backwards onto her butt again.

"Bad day, bad day!" She screams, channeling Jackie.

Fudge. This was getting way too dicey. Nudge flings her wings out and gets airborne the second the spikes start cropping up, and then surveys the ground below. The wolfy guy and the long-haired woman look like they could take care of themselves. Jade, on the other hand, is unarmed and running, and the blond woman has a wound. And dragon-guy looks mad. She has to be quick, but luckily, she isn't too shabby at being quick.

She swoops down, careful of the flames, and grabs Jade across the waist, picking her up. A bit of careful manoeuvring later, Nudge gets the blonde in the same way, trying not to touch or pressure the wound.

She beats her wings with powerful gusts, ascending once again. She's straining a little, because she doesn't usually carry this much weight, but she's determined to get them out of the way.

[ Harley: You've got guts, kid. Harley's charge is unexpected, so Deathwing gets his face smashed in with a satisfying crunch. He screeches in pain, backing away. ]

Enough of this foolishness! Taste the fury of an Aspect!

[ Deathwing's transformation is not nearly as clean as before, thanks to your steady assault. Wings burst from his back as magma seeps everywhere, his injured face twists hideously, and his arms mutate into savage claws. It is a revolting display, evidence of the true corruption housed within. Deathwing has assumed his dragon form. Phase two of the fight has begun! ]

Attack me if you dare!

[ Raising his powerful wings to full, intimidating height, Deathwing lets out a thundering roar! Fear is now inflicted on the party. Your attacks have a greater chance to miss!

Harley hears Akira. And she's none too happy about that.

"Are you kidding me?! What are we gonna do, come back la--"

Wait. She's up kinda high. She looks up to see the other kid in the group holding her.
