[So, back at the beginning of the month, Molotov and Brock discussed the fact that his cabin needs a bearskin rug.

Well, like any good consumer, Molotov has decided that she needs to weigh the options properly. But a little input from others never hurt, so she asks the journal.]

I cannot decide on a color. Tell me, what looks best on a rug: black or brown? It also appears that a light tan is an option, but it might not look appropriate in all seasons.

[And then there is some roaring in the background. This is because Molotov is currently standing on the front lawn, surrounded by bears. Just a whole bunch of bears. Grizzlies, black bears, honey bears. There's even a polar bear, though Molotov seems to not be considering that one as a rug, so much as a pet. All of the bears are chained to the ground, and they have muzzles, and Molotov seems to think that makes them safe enough to be petting as she feels their different fur qualities.]

Is anyone here an interior designer? I have a feeling that the largest size available might not be the best option as far as decor goes...

Well, I was trying to be safe. How do you think they transport bears to rescues and zoos and places like that?

Yeah, but ... keeping a row of bears so you can feel their fur and test their ... personalities ... isn't a zoo or rescue.

They will go back soon, Samson. And the sooner you feel their fur, the sooner they go back.

I don't know. You could have timed it so it'll wear off once I go over there ...

Samson, timing the drugs on bears to wear off at a precise moment is a waste of everyone's time. I would just shoot you in the face while you sleep. We live together.

True, but I would prefer lack of finesse to timing tranquilizers in bears. What if you had arrived later than I expected you to?

[Molotov just rolls her eye again, and strokes her polar bear's head.]

Molotov, this one looks weird. What did you -- did you just wish for a whole bunch of bears?

Get a book? About bears? I think this one is a cave bear, look at his skull.

Molotov, I think you took extinct bears.

[Molotov blinks curiously at this for a moment, then recovers.]

And how is that bad? If they are here, it means they are not being killed in their own time. Surely there is a naturalist here, Brock. Go find them, they can take notes.
