I appreciate your candor. Have you spoken with either of the Doctors about this concern? They're the Patrol's foremost experts on psychic matters.

And if that is such a concern for you, why would you volunteer to be put in a position where, more than likely, you'll be called upon to demonstrate those abilities?

I figured I've been keepin' folks in th' dark long enough. I may have t'look inta that, though. Eleven's a friend o' mine, so I may have t'talk t'him about it.

I've been runnin' from me powers long enough. I figure, th' least I can do is put 'em to positive use. I'd never met Deathwing before he turned up in me room all cloak an' dagger-like, but I know he's dangerous. If I can help keep him from killin' us all, I'm willin' t'take th' risk.

...Get checked out first. If we're sending you in as a double-agent, I want to be sure they can't turn you into a triple-agent against your will. Other than that...since you seem to understand the risks, I think it's worth pursuing. Just be careful.

Sure. I'll get in touch with th' Doctors as soon as I can. Do me a favor though, an' don' go spreadin' around that me powers are what they are. I'll let folks know in due time, once'm sure I can handle 'em.

S'funny, years ago I did this exact same thing, only then I did get brainwashed, jus' before I lost me powers.

I think...Deathwing actually wants t'see me as a friend. He don' really seem th' type, but he sees a bit o' himself in me. I can use that.

Anything you tell me remains in confidence so long as it's not relevant to anything threatening the residents or the city.

...I understand. [Even omnicidal maniacs need friends.] Just remember why you're there. Become his friend if you like, but don't let it make you forget what he is. Stay in contact with the Patrol, especially if you start to feel yourself slipping.

You say that now, and I believe you mean it. And I don't doubt your strength of will or purpose, but I've dealt with too many manipulative and misguided people in the past. Learn all you can, but don't let your guard down.

I know, I've seen my share too. Dependin' on how things go, I'll probably be reportin' in once a week or so, even if things're quiet. Someone like Deathwing can't just waltz about without someone keepin' an eye on 'im. Think that might o' been where we went wrong with Riful. We gave her too much leeway.
