Σ001; is there a doctor in the house?

[And lo, from the grounds outside the castle comes the distinct sounds of the TARDIS’s VWORP VWORP, and a Doctor puttering around the console. A little muffled by the partially-opened door:] Well, at the very least that wasn’t a permanent dematerialization.

[And the sounds grow fainter as the Doctor exits the TARDIS to have a look around where she’s landed.] -Well. It's hardly the Grand Hotel, but then, what is these days? Depending on the days, of course. You can't be expected to judge early 19th by, oh, 45th century standards. Though it's hardly as if...

Oh dear.

[She raises a hand to her forehead.] I'm talking to myself again. I've got to stop that, next thing you know I'll be getting a cat and then there'll be nothing for it. [Siiiiiigh- oh wait, hold on. She picks up the journal.]

What's this?

I'm afraid we don't know.

Not much, I'm afraid. We seem to be brought here at random, and there is no way to return. However, it seems time doesn't pass back home while we are here, and those brought here from the same worlds may be from different points in each other's past or future.

Death is impermenant here, although still obviously ill-advised, and occasionally the castle plays some form of tricks on us which are impossible to avoid.

Food, drink, medications and amusements are all freely available by wishing, although in exchange for this hospitality the castle has taken something from you on arrival - a loss that you may not even realise is missing.

I'm afraid it's different for each person. It could be an item of worth, or even a memory - and often you may not even realise it's missing. I was unaware of mine, until somebody else from my world pointed it out.

I am sorry I don't have a more comforting welcome.

You also have this journal, which can be used as a method of public or private communication - spoken or written.

No, you have to specify a filter.

[Filter: The Doctor] Like this. [/Filter]
