[Lloyd is feeling particularly artsy and lazy today. Which means he'll just draw on the journal, sup.

There are a number of rough sketches showing up on this page. They look like designs for something, but it's hard to say what since he seems to change his mind and start a new one every couple minutes. They start out as fairly intricate geometric patterns before he moves on to different themes -- at least a couple of them involve trees and stars, naturally. They're all very good, if incomplete.

There are other things scribbled in the margins, too, where he got distracted. Smaller designs for jewelry, pictures of Iota and some of his friends' pets, random things from outside his window, you name it.

If you ever wondered what Lloyd's stream of consciousness is like, this is it.]

Hmm? What are you designing, Lloyd?

Me and Kratos are making a book. [Or, well, he is. But it was Dad's idea.] I've got some of it done already, but I wanted to have some kind of design for it, too.

[LLOYD IS VOLUNTARILY WORKING WITH BOOKS?]

Really? What an excellent idea! What kind of book will it be?

[DON'T GET ANY IDEAS, PROFESSOR.]

It's... kind of like a photo album, I guess.

[DARN IT AND HERE SHE THOUGHT YOU MIGHT ONE DAY REACH LITERACY]

That's...rather a good idea, actually. Were there many pictures left from the other weekend?

[silly Professor, heroes don't need to be literate. THAT'S WHY WE HAVE EIGHT SIDEKICKS.]

Yeah. [a small pause] Kratos had a whole bunch of them.

[s-sob why is that true ;;]

I see. [Raine had very few left, as most of them involved Genis and so disappeared.]

Well, and there's no reason you couldn't get some new ones too, hmm? I imagine the castle would give you a camera, if you asked.

Those things take pictures, right? I dunno if I even know how to work one.

Well, they can't be terribly difficult. There must be someone around who's accustomed to using them, at any rate.

I guess so. [... He'll probably end up being a terror with it, though.] It's worth a shot, anyway.

[He can't be worse than that Aya woman. Probably.]

Well, and that way if you can't decide between two different designs, you may use one for the pictures you had before and one for your new pictures of the castle.

Hey, yeah, that's a really good idea!

[She laughs.] Although you must promise not to put in any embarrassing photographs of losses in there, Lloyd.

Man, after that one loss Kratos had? No way I'd put anything like that in there.

[Not only does she know exactly which loss to which Lloyd is referring, she also happens to still have some copies of pictures from that loss.]

That's probably wise.

[sob sob sob professor y so cruel]

Unless it's really, really funny, then I might take one just in case.

[It's research!]

Or if your friend doesn't seem to mind.

[..... if you're researching BLACKMAIL.]

That too! Dunno who would want somebody to take a picture of them on a loss, though.

Well, perhaps someone would be amused by their newfound kitten form.

I think it'd be kind of hard to ask them if they were a kitten, though.

That may depend. At times, people on animal losses are perfectly capable of speech.

Really? [pause] That's gotta be kind of weird to see.

Oh, there are many aspects of Paradisa I'd define that way.

Heh, yeah, I guess so. I don't really notice a whole lot anymore.

Well, that doesn't mean you should let your guard down! You never know when someone will go on some loss you never even thought possible before.
