I don't claim to know what happened, but I hope everyone gets back safely. And I hope the doctors here can do something for the injured. I know first aid and CPR, but that's it.

I guess you don't need some big catastrophic thing to happen when you can go and find it yourself.

Ahaa. FBI? American. I'm going to guess that you're a member of the NCIS, then? [loves guessing stuff like that!]

... And yes, yes I was. Briefly. Touched down with my TARDIS once after ... after something exactly the opposite happened to me. I wanted to be reminded that peace could exist, and I was. ... It's the sort of memory I try to stockpile for myself, when I can.

And time, yes! Quite astute of you, Agent McGee. [sounds very very pleased at this]

[identity profile] cricketycricket.livejournal.com 2009-06-28 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, quite a few! They didn't know it yet, of course....

[identity profile] cricketycricket.livejournal.com 2009-06-28 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Strangely enough, you know, I don't think I actually met him. [pause] I did manage to keep the Magna Carta from being averted, though?

[identity profile] cricketycricket.livejournal.com 2009-06-28 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)
[pleased with himself] You're very welcome!

[identity profile] cricketycricket.livejournal.com 2009-06-28 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[there's a small, startled sort of noise from the journal, and then laughter. lots of laughter] Superhero? Oh....! ... I .... oh, that's a new one. [laughs a little more]

Oh, my. Hardly! More of an explorer. And certainly nothing super, though certainly rather something marvellous.

[identity profile] cricketycricket.livejournal.com 2009-06-28 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I ....!

Well, considering I said something very simular to someone else, recently? I suppose I can't argue with you, there.

[identity profile] cricketycricket.livejournal.com 2009-06-28 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't argue that, either. I suppose anyone who stands up and attempts to do the right thing could be seen as a hero in their own right. ... You can call me the Doctor, by the way. Everyone else does. [his real name is just plain stupid and dumb, and he hasn't used it in centuries. pfff]

[identity profile] cricketycricket.livejournal.com 2009-06-29 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
[amused] It's not exactly a name that's easy to forget. ... Is anyone from your home world here, Agent McGee?

[identity profile] cricketycricket.livejournal.com 2009-06-29 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
Abby! OH! I've spoken with her. She's marvellous! You know, I should have made the connection when you both said you worked in NCIS, but I didn't want to leap to any conclusions. So many different worlds, here, you know.

[identity profile] cricketycricket.livejournal.com 2009-07-02 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[vaguely amused] You could try asking....

[identity profile] cricketycricket.livejournal.com 2009-07-03 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
... You don't sound as though you really want to.

[identity profile] cricketycricket.livejournal.com 2009-07-07 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
It's true - the people we aren't used to seeing are often the most interesting. Though ... give it enough time, and you'll start to see that they have just as many intriguing little facets to themselves, too.

You're blessed, then. Or, well. Cursed, if you're Chinese.
