003//Samus Aran

[There's a woman in a Power Suit sitting outside in the rain. Occasionally she'll remove her helmet to feel the rain on her face, even as it intensifies the longer she sits outside, but if she thinks she hears someone coming, she'll put it on very quickly. If you're quick enough, quiet enough, or just use the sound of the rain to your advantage, you can probably catch a glimpse of her without her helmet.

She has her journal lying near her, open, sheltered by a makeshift canopy of whatever she could find.]

So what do people do around this place? I don't necessarily mean to entertainment, just...in general. Is there some sort of mission? Are there people intending to accomplish something?

((OOC: Open to whoever's wandering by outside, or you can just respond to the voice entry.))

That's correct. And a rather lightweight one, at that.

[leaves it open, since he was going to open it soon anyways. and he's analyzing her with his own eyes, which are a creepy red :D;]

I take it you are a fairly new arrival.

[a nod, just as he thought] It seems you are settling fairly well.

[sldfkdf HE DID? LOL.]

It does take awhile to get accustomed to the random bouts of insanity.

[SHH DON'T TELL ANYONE HE LIKES CUTE THINGS. and a pause goes here.] Have you been inside the castle?

[identity profile] thisisyimhot.livejournal.com 2009-04-25 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
The castle is usually rather lively at most times of the day.

[points at the city] There is quite a bit to see in that direction, as well.

[MAYBE. JUST MAYBE. He doesn't really realize it's a loss, though, and he knows how much it sucks to have poor vision since he does too without his Sharingan, so he won't pry.]

Localized ... perhaps. It seems to me it is everywhere, yet nowhere at the same time. A presence that cannot be detected by anyone from any world.

[identity profile] thisisyimhot.livejournal.com 2009-04-25 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
Correct, a barrier. Nothing physical or mental can escape it.

[and he nods. she's been well informed :D] You have been told about the death policy as well?

[identity profile] thisisyimhot.livejournal.com 2009-04-25 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
People - enemies or friends - who have died in your own world can and likely will show up here alive. On top of that, if you're killed in this world, you'll be brought back to life after an average of two weeks time.

It certainly makes for severe inconveniences sometimes. [a pause as he reconsiders her tone] It is also possible for a permanent loss to change.

[identity profile] thisisyimhot.livejournal.com 2009-04-25 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
[raises an eyebrow! he's onto your game, samus] Well, assuming you do discover what it is, I suppose you can take relief in the fact that it may not be truly permanent.

[identity profile] thisisyimhot.livejournal.com 2009-04-25 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
Dying is not the only option. Others have changed losses simply by being knocked unconscious or experiencing a temporary loss prior.
