I do not intend to allow people like Shirley or Euphie to come into his orbit, and even though Euphie was soon gone, I still had Shirley to consider. [Lelouch isn't going to change his mind on that, regardless.]

I was not in a bad situation. I had other allies with me, and Rolo was particularly obsessive about my safety. [Lelouch just sighs a little at that. The times that he was being protected Zerozaku were a lot less stressful, as Rolo took the opportunity to press him on certain matters.]
