[Nessie is in the forest, perched in a tree. Her legs are dangling over the edge and she's leaning against the trunk.]

[She had to get out of the castle and away from everything. Bella and Edward, who were supposed to be her parents but were too wrapped up in each other to care; Jake who was supposed to be her soul mate but still had feelings for her mother and was now on a loss; her aunts who she cared for but couldn't always keep running to...]

[Nessie felt completely alone.]

[ooc; Sad vampire hybrid is sad. D= Someone come cheer her up~? Or...rile her up, if your character is evil. XD ]

[Nessie looks down, her long curly hair almost hiding her face.]

Oh, it is...but sort of lonely.

Lonely?

It's better when you have someone to sit with you.

You could've invited someone with you, right? People seem to do that in the journals all the time.

[she trails off for a moment]

I guess I wanted to be alone at first, not realizing it was the wrong choice.

[small nod]

If you want company now, I've never climbed a tree before. It could be fun.

I wouldn't want to inconvenience you...would you mind if I joined you on your run?

[she jumped down easily, landing on her feet, and stretched.]

My name is Nessie. What's yours?

[Jenny watches that with a twinge of jealousy; she was able to jump like that once]

I'm Jenny. I like that name, Nessie. It's pretty!

Thank you! It's short for Renesmee.

[screw it; she liked her name]

I like Jenny too. It sounds... [she paused, thinking] like a happy name. Some names sound serious, and others sound capricious, but yours makes me smile.

It's short for general anomaly. Donna gave it to me.

[there's a bright grin; for the most part, she's still proud of her origins]

General Anomaly? Forgive me, but is that one of those trendy celebrity names?

[Celebrity isn't a word in her vocabulary yet]

You don't know what a celebrity is? A celebrity is a widely known person who is usually very rich and well-liked by many people.

An anomaly...well, aren't we all anomalies in our own way?

But aside from Dad, I'm the only other Gallifreyan alive in our time. And I'm the only one ever made from a progenation machine to be a soldier.

...Whoa, wait a minute. What's a Gallifreyan? And a progenation machine? And...you're a soldier? That's pretty amazing! My uncle was a soldier.

[Questions are good; she likes questions! Have a smile, Nessie.]

A Gallifreyan is a species. Kind of like human is.

[Slight head tilt]

I was born a soldier. It's... it's what this place took away from me. My inheritance, everything I knew about fighting. I hate it.

It's all any child of the machine on Messaline was supposed to know. We were made from samples to be efficient soldiers in the war against the Hath. And I don't have that anymore.

[lol sorry disrupting your peace... is earthbending nearby, and it probably shakes the tree a little]

[lol holds on tight to the tree, feeling a bit irritated, and yells]

HEY! Who's doing that?!

[ooc; Pretend this is before Jen came running along~? -OCD-]

[the earthbending stops, and tophs emerges from some bushes, proudly]

Oh... Guess I should've warned people in the surrounding area. Oops.

It's Earthbending. It's what I use to fight. Fun stuff.

[Curious, Nessie hops down from the tree, brushing her hair out of her eyes.]

What's Earthbending? I've never heard of it before.

[lifts her head up to ackowledge nessie's presence, then wiggles her feet] I can manipulate and control earth. Kinda like magic, I guess. I also use it to see, so it's pretty useful.

[is very intrigued by this]

[it reminded her of Ben, but she obviously wasn't a vampire]

I have a gift, too. I guess you can call it magic.

[it was her first time encountering someone else with a "gift" from the castle, so she was excited.]

Yeah? What is it?

Um, well, it's hard to explain...let me show you!

[Nessie reaches out and lightly touches Toph's hand, and sends her memories from minutes earlier, when she was shaken in the tree, then jumping down to meet her. Nessie also sends her amiable feelings toward the girl.]

[holy shat, toph just widens her eyes. mind, she can't see any of the memories, but she can certainly feel them, and feel nessie's friendliness bawww :)]

Hey, that's... really cool. How'd you do that?

[Nessie grins]

I was born with it! My -- well, my parents were both gifted as well, so I was bound to get something.

Wow... Well, that's different. There's nothing like that where I come from. I guess my bending genes come from way back, because my parents can't bend at all.

Wanna see something cool?

[ Aaaaand, Rose was hunting, so it is inevitable that she would eventually stumble across Nessie.

She looks up at her from below.]

Nessie, are you alright?

[And Nessie tries to pretend everything is, because she doesn't want to worry/bother Aunt Rose, so she says in an overly-cheerful voice~]

Yep! I'm just...enjoying nature!

[ She knows you're lying (motherly instinct), but she'll just let it go. She hops up on the tree and is sitting next to Nessie in a few seconds. ]

Hm. Your mother came to talk to me.

[Quickly looks to Rose]

Don't call that girl my mother.

...Please, Aunt Rose.

... I seem to be missing something, Nessie. Did something happen?

[ Clearly she's going to have to cut a bitch.]

I talked with [pause; it sounds strange to say it] Edward. He said that both Bella and I were still children. That she's still in love with Jake, that she needs time...yet that she isn't denying herself to me.

I offered to pretend that I wasn't here and stay out of their way, but he said no. I am pretty certain he would prefer it if I wasn't here either.

I understand that they love each other very much, but...

[She looks lost right now, and hurt]

Jake still cares for Bella. Where does that leave me?

[ Why on earth is this happening again. A vicious circle, no doubt.]

They don't understand the magnitude of the situation because of your mother's...maturity.

[ She doesn't want to talk poorly of her mother but is having an awfully hard time biting her tongue.]

I remember what you showed me and what Emmett had explained. When you were born Nessie, Bella was so utterly in love with you, and the same for your father. It's because they haven't seen or lived the entire situation... your conception, birth, early stages of life... that they can't utterly grasp the gravity of this predicament.

It's no excuse for their behavior. But personally, I do not think they will understand until they see for themselves. You need to show them Nessie, or they will never know.

You are still very, very young. And not ready to be on your own without any guidance or nurture. How dare Edward write you off like that? That is unacceptable on all accounts, Nessie.

[She felt waves of reassurance come over her, and Nessie leaned over to hug her aunt, making sure to share the emotions with Rose as well. And the gratitude. Her gift was perfect for times like these, when words weren't enough.]

A part of me wants to show them, and a part of me doesn't...maybe out of spite. Which is an awful emotion, one I haven't really felt before, but if they don't need or want me then I don't want to need them.

[Nessie paused again, still holding onto Rose, and spoke in a small voice now]

I just hope that they don't take Jake away from me.

[ Rose looked down at her niece, concerned and upset by the whole situation. She smiled softly when Nessie shared her emotions, though she knew deep down that there was a larger problem that would eventually need to be dealt with.

If you would like to stay with me, Nessie, you're more than welcome to. You're too young to be left in a situation like this or just disposed of. Edward can talk to me if there is a problem, I refuse to speak with her

[Nessie looks unsure]

Well...Jake is on a loss, and although I'd like to help him Bella seems determined to be the one who does that. And since Edward doesn't want me going near her...

...Maybe that would be for the best.

[ Rose hops down from the tree, effortlessly.]

Good. You can move your things in right away. I won't let anyone hurt you anymore, Nessie.

[follows Rose, almost as effortlessly as her aunt]

Thank you, Aunt Rose.

[ She starts back towards the castle.]

It's what's best for you right now, until things start to calm down a bit. Some of Emmett's things are still in the room but, maybe we can get rid of the "X-Box" and 45 inch plasma screen.

[is in the forest, looking for Smellerbee or something, travelling through the trees and comes upon~~]
