[assuming they are now out in the ~*~*PARADISA WILDERNESS*~*~ with all of their gear, and have reached a suitable spot to pitch the tents:]

Hey, uh...guys?

I don't know if anyone's thought about this yet, but...

We only have two tents, and ten people. Who's sleeping where?

((ooc: KAT AND YUFF: we're going to use this as the "where is everyone sleeping" post, as well as a "getting to know everyone" post, since a lot of them don't know each other yet. Also if you want to jump into Sparkletext to chat and plan with us PRZ COME 8D ))

Really? How come?

Go fish.

[a pause as he considers]

Fives?

[the Master draws a card as he speaks]

'Childish'. I'm middle aged for my species. Compared to your kind, I'm ancient.

[he smiles plainly at Reno]

No. 'Go fish'.

[a pause as he idly plays with his cards]

Even then, I never much played this as a boy. Not exactly common on Gallifrey.

Gotcha. But you know, I'm kinda of the opinion it doesn't hurt to go back and do the 'childish' games occasionally.

[a sigh as he draws a card]

Yeah? What sorta games did you have there?

[identity profile] sinister-charm.livejournal.com 2008-03-10 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps. Though for some, the indulgence in youth may prove too much.

Seven?

[he glances over to the side]

There was Roentgen radiation blocks in the nursery, of course. Five dimensional chess. Various time related activities. Some students played Eighth Man Bound... most of the games weren't as simple as those found on Earth or Earth-like planets. Gallifrey tended to expect more out of its youth - even in games.

Eh, possibly. Guess it just depends on the person.

[he passes over a seven]

Huh, yeah sounds like the games were more complicated than my home all right. What was Eighth Man Bound about?

...Nine?

[the Master places another set of cards down]

Indeed. I gave up most youthful things when... mmm, I was about your age equivalent, perhaps younger. I learned quick.

[he snorts in annoyance and hands over a nine]

It was about looking into one's own future - seeing their next regenerations. No one could see past the seventh. The eighth one was always bound away. ...Very deadly game, that. A good deal of students died playing it.
