I had to go to his room to believe it. I know Ruby wouldn't lie to me but....
Even though we haven't spoken in so long....and we haven't spoken in a friendly manner in even longer..... he was still........
He was still HERE. And now what? Maybe he'll come back? Does that matter? No. No. It wouldn't be him. He hasn't been the man I knew for months. I... We weren't friends any more but I didn't want him--- I didn't want him DEAD. Damnit.

I think the last time I saw him ..and when he was still my friend was when he was so sick and I came down to help him. It was peaceful when he stopped having delusions. I think I'll just...hang on to things like when I used to physically drag him to come riding with me. [transcribed laugh]

I suppose I should give Paladin to someone else. He shouldn't just sit out to pasture but....no. I need to not be so sentimental. If I am going to get past regaining my innocence I have to teach myself to behave differently. I refuse to let the castle take away who I've become.
I won't live in fear anymore...but I suppose now I can actually...feel again which is strange but nice. I was used to things being so dulled.

This is life and this is what it is to live here. Something I need to accept.


I cant... find my necklace. The one with the clear kryptonite stone set in silver? Has anyone seen it? I sort of........ need it.
