Okay, so I realized what I really hate about this place. It's the change. And how it changes where I don't want it to change.

See, back home, tradition is everything. I did the same things in the Water Tribe that my great-granddad did. We probably had the same hobbies and everything. Things like that just don't change; they're traditions that last forever. That's good. I hate change and it's fine like that. In fact, there are only two areas I LIKE change, and this place is good at messing that up.

These two things are:
- the weather. Ironically, the weather DOESN'T change in this place.
- whoever I'm courting. But the town girls here are boring (really -- they talk too much) and the girls at the castle.... half of them are psychotic powerhouses and the other half are undead immortal... things. I don't know. Either way, not really interested in dating them.

(Kylie, Mai, etc, being the exceptions. Any other gorgeous, sane girls are welcome, too. Sophie, you're gorgeous too.)

But this place is obsessed with change, otherwise. And I hate that. It's annoying. You can never get used to it or adapt fast enough, and by time you do adapt, you have to adapt again. I just can't keep up with it, and that's why I focus on my real life rather than the journal.

Even though there's many people here, this place can still get a bit lonely.

[insert lazily drawn doodles of people he knows (sans Annie of course) and a sigh, Sam is a bit depressed D: He has no friends.

Then he gives out a small laugh]

I'll probably regret this entry sooner or later.

I'm not certain what the point of this is.

So, is everyone's furniture now on the ceiling, or is it just limited to a selected number of people?

I feel bad for the ghosts who had to carry and stick all my stuff up there though. I mean... There's a lot of stuff. [low whistle] Got it to look exactly like my room too.

Only upside down.

Kinda reminds me of Crazy Gadget. Good thing I have quick reflexes and all, I can live without the bump on my head from falling out of bed [again]

Though I'm kinda bored now, because my guitar's stuck up there and I can't pull it down without breaking something. My Gear's up there too, and I would really like to keep that intact. Sentimental and all, yanno?

'nyways, points to whoever came up with this. Maybe the world will let us play with gravity next time~

[Azula's almost giddy right now.]

I was in the library today, reading about war prisoners and genocide. Really fascinating information, but one particular bit of information jumped out at me. It is wise to leave a single enemy alive, isn't it? One enemy alive to tell the story, to allow fear to spread. It only takes one person, after all, to fill everyone else with a horrific tale of battle and torture, and then you've got the terrified masses to control, manipulate, eliminate, whatever you please.

And I realized, today, that I miss war plans. To be completely honest, sometimes I got bored while sitting around in the war room, but that was only because the generals can be so indecisive on our next course of action. I don't see why, really -- is it that hard to be quick, precise, and ruthless? Who cares if it takes a lot of money and stress to get units mobilized and marching for war on such short notice? I simply don't see the need for long-term planning in a war nearing its end. Short-term plans for a rapidly approaching finale are all that's necessary. Anything else is a waste of time and resources, especially when Fire Lord Ozai wants immediate results.

With that said, I've discovered a board game that looks fascinating. Anyone up for a game of "Risk"?

About the Archive

"Paradisa Lost" is the archive of what the journals contained between December 1st, 2006 and January 10th, 2012. On that final day, Paradisa issued new journals, so that the residents could fill them up again. While there are still residents around who have old journals, we have chosen to preserve the old journals here for muns' reference and history.

"Lost" in the title refers to both the old journals that the residents once kept, and also to our move to Dreamwidth from the original Livejournal community, where Paradisa started. It is a fresh start for muns, as well as for the characters.
