...Uh. I wish this place had a cafeteria or something. I just tried to cook something and I can safely say that's never happening again. I didn't even burn the food. It wasn't cooked enough. I didn't want to burn myself. Then I ended up turning the stove up too high anyway and accidentally froze the burner out of shock. It didn't work well after that. So I've got a bag of chips.

It's times like these that I really miss the Mansion.

Still no word of those maggots. I'm starting to think Yukimura was right: the castle took the best from our worlds, and decided it had no need for anyone else. It doesn't really matter to me. There are plenty of idiots from other worlds in this place without adding those maggots in the mix. I wonder what they're even doing right now?

I don't care. That stuff was way over my head. Though after living here for a while, I'm thinking that stuff about 4-D or whatever is pretty normal in comparison.

Is it just me, or do vampires suddenly become a popular theme of conversation whenever a new flock of people arrive? I mean, no offense, but it's been done to death.

I'd think you all would be more chatty about the "mutants" or whatever you kids are calling yourselves these days. You guys are literal physical embodiments of super-heroes and super-villains and super-in-betweens. That's interesting stuff. Most people dream about meeting you folks at one point or another. Not a whole lot of people have always wanted to meet a vampire, you know.

And hell--I can stop bullets with my brain and walk on walls and set people on fire from the inside with nary a thought (the third part being a possible exception, thank you Paradisa!) and no one's ever called me a super-hero or super-villain or super-in-between.

Except for that one time at a convention in Italy.
But let's not go into that one.
