[Apparently, when you're raised in a military-like compound and not exposed to pop-culture while you grow up -- you miss out on a lot of things. Max has recently realized that she doesn't exactly know all of the movies that Jo and Julia grew up loving. We'll skip over the part where Jo and Julia know all the words to Lawfully Pretty and skip right to where they're trying to explain to Max that hard work does pay off and that the core message is really about accepting you for yourself, and that the sequel deals with a side of animal rights. Which, they figure Max will appreciate.]

We can watch the next one, too. [You know, in case Gwaine isn't back yet. She glances to the boys, because she is not putting in Die With Difficulty again. This is supposed to be making Julia feel better.]

[Jet quietly takes a seat on the foot of the bed and pops open his beer can.]

As I was saying. They're still each other's lobsters. They'll figure it out eventually.

[Spike gives up trying to listen in on them, or he doesn't want to hear it anymore (too depressing), and takes a seat on the floor near the door.

Now he wants lobster.]

You really don't have any food in here?

[She shoots Jet a look.] Be careful with that.

And no, I don't keep food in my bedroom. I have dogs. I can't just leave food in every room.

[Way to make this even more depressing.]

Maybe they'll realize we're in here eventually and slip something under the door.

They can't stay fighting out there forever.

[Jet is very careful with his beer, and after taking a sip or two, he offers the can to Spike, who appears to need it much more than Jet does.]

They usually do. This is Julia and Gwaine.

[this isn't their first fight. They all know that.]

[This is why you're a bro, Jet. Spike takes it, although he doesn't start drinking right away. He's moody because he's hungry sure, but he also can't see why those crazy kids can't make it work.]

I don't know. I hate to say it, but this might be more serious this time.

[He'll be drinking that beer now. He's no fan of drama over here.]

He left on that expedition. But didn't tell her.

In that case, I'm surprised she's not throwing things yet. [Glance to Max... do you hear them throwing things?]

[Jet wears a look of "Seriously?!" before shaking his bald head.]
