Rating: Um, not more than PG? This is a family holiday, guys, come on...

Diwali is living up to it’s name today. The lights are everywhere today both outside and in.  Stands of candles line the lobby like a temple and lanterns hang from the very ceiling. Everywhere there is light.

Today, however, you can add new smells and sounds to the list as well. Music drifts through the air into the lobby, along with the fragrant, spice filled scents of foods and sweets.

"Oh, that must be a bit awkward," Vivian replied, wincing a little. Of course she didn't know the full story between Lana and her ex, but it was the only thing she could think of to say. "I suppose it's possible that people can be brought in at the same time together. We've all seen what this castle is capable of."

Lana shrugged a little. "It's not the most ideal situation, no," she said a little dryly, one corner of her mouth turned up. "He lives down the hall from me, too. But I guess it's a good chance to work on our platonic relationship. There hasn't been a huge amount of progress, but maybe being here will make him more... personable."

With a glance to the people setting up fireworks, Lana turned and smiled at Vivian. "I know you said you came alone, but are you the only one from your world here?"

"Well, I hope that everything works out for you in the end." She said, sounding a bit sympathetic. "Perhaps being around others will help him, like you just said." Maybe one day she'd hear the full details behind everything but that would be a long way down the line.

Vivian nodded. "I am the only person here from home. Figured if there was anyone else, they would have made themselves known by now, you know?"

Lana chuckled a little. "Oh, trust me, I know everything will work out for me," she said, a hint of a smirk on her lips. "And right now, I don't really care all that much how things turn out for him, so the situation's pretty much a win-win on this end."

"People usually find each other pretty quick around here," Lana answered, thoughtfully. "If anyone from your world shows up, you'll probably be the first to know."

"That bad huh?" Vivian replied, a hint of a wry look on her face. "Maybe I should stay away from him, just to be safe." She had to admire Lana a little for sticking to her guns and doing what was right for herself.

She huffed out a sigh. "I suppose so." Although personally, Vivian wouldn't want anyone she knew to be here on account that she didn't trust them.

"So, where are you from?"

With a loud snort, Lana shook her head a little. "Everyone should stay away from him, for their own good," she said, rolling her eyes. "I tried to tell him to stop using people, now that we're stuck here, but he didn't listen. I think he was actually busy trying to talk one of the ghosts into a blowjob at the time. So maybe I just picked the wrong moment for the lesson."

"I'm from New York," Lana continued. "I mean... I know some people are from places where there is no New York, but if you have one in your world, that's where I'm from."

"Wow." Vivian just blinked a little, taking that in. She couldn't actually find the proper words to respond to that but she was going to believe Lana on it. "Definitely going to stay away after hearing that." Not the type of person that she would want to hang around with for sure.

She smiled. "There is a New York where I'm from and I've been there a few times. As for me? I'm from England; Somerset to be precise."

"Good idea," Lana agreed, extending her legs to look at the beaded shoes that the castle had given her. "Sterling Archer. You hear the name? Run. And don't be fooled by the good looks."

"Can't say I've ever been to Somerset," she continued, looking thoughtful. "London's nice though. I don't really get to travel for pleasure all that much. It's more of a balancing act."

She paled a little at the mention of the name, shrugging it off quickly so Lana wouldn't suspect anything. Hopefully. "Right. Got it. I'll remember that name and stay away." Vivian is going to remain silent on what happened between them.

"London's great, yeah. Sorry you haven't gotten the chance to travel a lot. Work keep you busy?"

Unfortunately for Vivian, Lana was a) a spy, and b) already pretty much aware of what had happened, so she caught the blanching. But Lana had tact, and pretended not to notice, so she just nodded a little.

"Oh yeah, the travel's pretty much constant. I mean, I do get to go to great places, but usually you kind of have to sneak the fun stuff in around the work stuff."

If Lana knew Archer then there was a high possibility that she was a spy but Vivian doesn't say anything about that. Trust her to get involved with spies again. Of course, Vivian didn't know that Lana knew either.

"I've traveled around a lot as well but its mainly down to work. So I completely understand where you're coming from with that."

Aw, come on, Vivian. Spies are fun and cool, you know you wanna be involved with them. But not Archer. He is a bad spy.

Lana smiled at Vivian, and angled her head inquisitively. "And what do you do?" she asked, genuinely interested.

The spies at home had a nasty habit of ruining her lift so Vivian isn't so keen to get mixed up with them here if possible. Although being with Archer had already broken that plan.

"I'm in business: communication and information to be exact." Not entirely true of course. "My father left it to me."
